Liverpool ran out of ideas in the end, and got to credit Real for that. Modric came into things a bit more in the second half. A good, simple but accurate pass from him in his own half started the move for the goal, which was a very good goal at least.

What a bizarre rule. Apparently it was ruled out because the last touch of the Liverpool player wasn't 'deliberate'. If it had been then the goal would have stood. Who can say whether it was deliberate?

Much as we all love a football cliche, the ‘fascists‘ one regarding RM is both bullshit and tiresome. Madrid is/was about as fascist because Franco decided he was a fan as Arsenal is a hotbed of Islamic extremism due to the late Osama Bin Laden being a fan.

There are in fact many more historical fascist links to Atletico Madrid than to Real, and after the Ultra Sur twats were banned from the Bernabéu years ago, more far right presence and incidents at Atletico in the present day as well.

Real Madrid is an objectionable club for a number of reasons- dodgy finances, favourable treatment by the Madrid authorities regarding land deals, Florentino being a cunt… you name it. But the fascist tag is fucking bullshit. Time to give it a rest.
