highest paid boss in the uk

Does anyone actually know if she/ her company does any " good" with all that money?Apart from paying a huge amount in UK tax, which I'm quite surprised at.

Whatever "good" is or is not done would be dwarfed by what could be done if their wedge was sequestered, as it will be CTR.

The UK's best-paid boss, co-founder of online gambling firm Bet365 Denise Coates, has received another bumper pay rise.

"You know what I do with a CBE? I wipe my ass with a CBE."

Gambling ads are incessant in this country. I'm not usually up for banning things when the vast amount of people don't have a problem with it, but the sheer amount of gambling ads on TV, online, on the side of football pitches, in snooker, darts, on player shirts, is fucking ridic. Not to mention Ray Winstone's stupid head.

I say get rid of the ads. We can all live in a world without them without our freedom to gamble being impacted. It's time to start treating it like cigarettes and just get rid of all the advertising. The only people whining about it will be these millionaire scumbags who profiteer off gambling addicts and the poor in general.

definitely time for restrictions
like guns Guns are fun but unfettered access to guns is not a good thing.
Gambling can be fun but there are nearly 2 million problem gamblers in the UK I play Euromillions that said I don't play every week and can leave it.
my estate has lost its bookies and its been replaced by cafe Haylea's Cafe although internet means you dont need one anymore not that you needed one anyway.

“Ofcourse if people didn't gamble then she would'nt be able to be so disgustingly rich, I've never gambled in my life, no need for it at all. Infact, the whole point of it is that it's a con because the odds are so stacked against you, that's the main reason it exists, so you are actually at a loss, to make scum like her stinking rich.“

I thought this one got the award for most bleeding obvious quote of the day :D:thumbs:

Depends on the game.
Precisely. In bets of skill, such predicting the outcomes of horse races, it's possible to gain in the long run. In racing, the "over-round" (the bookies' built-in profit of around 1.5% per runner) must be overcome, but this can be achieved by backing horses where the odds are greater than their actual chance of winning. In games of no skill, such as roulette, then of course the house will always win in the long run.

I couldn't hear terribly well, but this did come up in QT last night. The company is based in Gibraltar and apart from propping up a football club, they are reported to have given £100 million to charity. I also gather they treat their employees well.
From a radio article, I gather they are waiting to break in to the US market as they have/are relaxing their gaming laws. If she and her company make that much now, just wait until they have a toe in the US

Gambling is a mug's game. The house always wins.
I know a couple of serious sports betters who claim to turn a small profit over time. However, they are constantly getting accounts closed or limited by scum like this who are only interested in easy pickings. She needs shooting.
