With apologies to danny la rouge for the extremely similar thread I thought it might be nice to see how quickly Urban does, or doesn't, get the jab.

Simple poll, answers to apply to a first dose. Please remember to change your vote if you vote no and then get jabbed.

I had mine this morning. Frontline school staff working with vulnerable kids. Best Welsh policy of the pandemic.

No but i expect to be low priority on the list as under 50 with no health issues. My mum had her first jab last week.

Good idea for a poll planetgeli - might be an idea to expand the poll with have you had your first and then both doses to see how quickly they deliver the full vaccination course. :)

Nice idea but, having thought about it, plus found out I can't edit YES to yes first dose...I'll leave it. And we'll take the authorities on their word they'll deliver within 12 weeks for the second. People can post second doses here.

I've actually had it. Went with my sister who has cystic fibrosis. They offered and I said no as i'm not high risk but they said they have a few hundred no shows and that vaccines were being thrown away so went for it.

Yeah, basically anyone offered it should take it, whatever they think of their personal need/vulnerability. There was an article from somewhere referenced on here somewhere arguing some reasons why that is best for all.

The poll could contain much more if wanted; have you had first jab, have you had second jab, which did you get, which category do you fall into, have you had any after effects.....
As far as I am aware, I had mine so quickly because I am deemed clinically extremely vulnerable. I am not aware that anyone who put me on the list did so because I am a key worker.

Nope according to the website I'm still a way off

Based on your profile, you are in priority Group 7, and there are between 14,053,397 and 16,707,957 people in front of you in the queue for a first dose of COVID vaccine across the UK.
Given a vaccination rate of 2,568,178 a week and an uptake of 70.6%, you should expect to receive your first dose of vaccine between 15/04/2021 and 29/04/2021.

You should then get your second dose by between 08/07/2021 and 22/07/2021.

I am sure that date has moved back since I last checked.

It's going to be interesting watching this change, but it already is.

According to this Coronavirus (COVID-19) Vaccinations - Statistics and Research 11.7% of the UK population have had the jab.

Urbs are running at twice that rate.

Low sample admittedly. People more likely to vote of they have had the jab?
Or do we have a greater number of health workers and old/at risk people than the general population?

Not expecting until at least autumn (43, no underlying health problems), probably longer as they'll probably fuck up over longer term.

Bit of both probably. But the population includes children, and we don't have any of those, in a biological sense anyway.

Yeah, there might be self-selecting going on in voting too.

I got a text message at 10pm last night, saying that although they are only vaccinating Tiers 1-4 at present (I'm in Tier 5), there are some vaccinations available and I could book a slot for today or tomorrow. I have booked slot for today.
Well I went to the vaccine centre which was about 4 miles away, not my nearest centre. But easy enough to get to on the tube.
It was well organised with a steady stream of people arriving, and less than 10 minutes from arrival to getting the vaccination. I have an injection phobia and was dreading it but it was painless and now I will probably get the flu vaccine too. I got the Pfizer version and will be called for the second dose, probably within 6 weeks.

Got mine at the Oval centre today. Got a text at breakfast and booked a slot for lunch time. I'm in the over 65 category, so wasn't expecting to get the call up. Cycled there and queued for about 5 minutes. I got the AZ vaccine, so didn't need to hang about afterwards.
Couldn't have been easier and I'm feeling no ill effects.

Edit: un autocorrected I'll
