Glastonbury 2022

Watching on bbc1 diana Ross singing the theme from mahogany is not great imo i think the other song she's sung she did well but not that I'm afraid

I think if you like idles then you will love Bob Vylan- they are excellent.
They are very different from idles though....I relate to Bob vylan much more- they are black punks with a touch of grime.

Yeah based on what I saw last night I think I would like them. Red hot angry punx.

I'm sure I've said it before and I'll say it again, all of Elbow are great musicians, in their own right, the music is not super outstanding by any means but for me it's Guy's lyrics that I'm in love with.

"You are the only thing in any room you're ever in."

"Yes I guess I'm asking you to back a horse that's good for glue and nothing else."

"We made the moon our mirrorball, the streets an empty stage, the city's sirens violins."
Guy Garvey is also married to Racheal Sterling, who I quite fancy, making him Diana Riggs son in law, which is really very cool!

There's lovely stories about Racheal and Guy looking after Diana at the tail end. Everything stopped every afternoon for cocktails, I forget which specific one, but well meaning guests were often turfed out on the cocktail hour so drinks could commence.

I've shown a friend several photos of Guy and asked that they locate me a bedfellow of similar appearance :D I like a fella with a good squish factor and an amazing brain.

Diana Ross did struggle a bit bless her but getting on a bit and the tunes carried her through just about.
Watching Little Dragon and their singer isn't exactly nailing it.

This is slightly surreal. 100,000 middle class white people singing 'fuck those niggaz' to Kendrick Lemarr. I'm amazed so many of these kids know every lyric..
