Germany Vs Argentina

Glad I didn't get round to placing the bet I was going to, on Argentina to win the Cup. Probably the best piece of procrastination I've ever done.

Germany were awesome though, I could hardly believe the score. All I can say is it makes England (who, don't forget, put 2 past the Germans) seem not so bad after all :)

So people still happy to claim Diego is a good manager because the players like him? Guy has no tactical ability to stifle a team not playing into Argentina's hands.

Germany were very impressive.

Also the talk of Klose being a risk. Bullshit. His international record speaks for itself unlike Heskey or Crouch or Defoe. Andy Townsend may just have taken ItV punditry to a new low.

Well I'm late to this thread. But I've been sitting on a beach in Bulgaria all day. However it is worth me logging on and paying for the data abroad (via my phone) to say... HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

Well, if anyone should know what it takes not to get into the England team, it's him. :D

Yep. Smart move of all those German players to follow his example and declare as a different nationality. Though changing their names was a bit much, what's so bad about being called Sebastian Pigherder?

I was interested when the pundits would occassionally say, this is simple football, and then after a pause to think about it they would say beautiful.

It was as if Germany playing simple football was bad.. but then they won so it was beautiful ..

strange

To all of you who had something against Germany all I can say is

fuck you, come on germany

E2A I was extremely drunk at this stage and can barely remember writing this

all the same still rooting for Germany in the final :)

Teamwork and tactics can move mountains.

Germany really played them into the ground.
Yep.

I also don't think it's any surprise they go on to win by a margin once ahead; they have the perfect counter-attacking system so when the opposition tries to press for an equaliser, the Germans strike. They have been flattered in that sense.

What will be interesting is when they go behind and the opposition sits deeper. I don't know if the point has been made on tv but they've only gone behind once in this tournament and that was against Serbia . . . . .

Will be very interesting to see if they have the players and tactics to come from behind. At the moment it's looking like the first goal is worth even more than usual.

Once again ze germans prove their resiliance.

If Germany went to war with any country, the germans would give everyones arse, militarily. They are too good. British squadies would get their arses kicked.

I like Germans. :)

But I'll be rooting for Spain in the semi-final. I wanna see if passion and talent can overcome tactical logic and precision.

what the fuck is this trend with the word "passion"? One of the most irritating words floating about at this world cup.

It's not as if the Germans lack talent, now is it?
If they did they'd not still be in the running.

Please God. Make the Spanish favourites. The Germans will beat them and I wanna win some money at the bookies.
