Filth by name. . .

It doesn't matter one jot what most people think, it'll be down to a small number of people in the cps and a court. You don't really understand how the criminal justice system works
Tbf, it'll be down to a small number of people in the CPS and court to determine what legal consequences they face, but there's plenty of scope for people to form their own opinions and act accordingly outside of that process.

Yes and yes. However, whatever pbsmooth thinks matters not one iota. He isn't going to take this to the streets or engage at all with the legal process, and his claim of what most people think is a rather uninventive variation on millions of pms of support.

now putting the boot in while they are being restrained is one thing although you are trained to avoid the head and neck for obvious reasons control and restraint is meant to be that. been involved in a few uses of force adrenaline is a hell of a drug though managed to avoid smacking a prisoner in the face when I didn't have to but could have have got away with it even the prisoner was suprised I didn't punch him considering he'd started it by punching me in the back of the head for a vape  not exactly a criminal Mastermind or very good at punching:D.
if the blokes down and restrained go punch a litter bin or something your suppoused to have Moral authority not stoop to their level that said they handed out violence expect to get the same treatment.

Serving Metropolitan Police officer, PC Christopher Gudgeon, who is attached to their Central South Basic Command Unit, has been charged with sexual assault by postal requisition. This followed a report of sexual assault alleged to have taken place while PC Christopher Gudgeon was off-duty.

The Metropolitan Police has said that its directorate of professional standards was aware and that PC Christopher Gudgeon was currently on restricted duties. He will appear at Bromley Magistrates’ Court later today.

Admittedly this comedy of errors going on for eight years is not solely down to the police forces involved but...

I really hope she doesnt give up ... this treatment of the victim is terrible ..... OK, the cop cant arrest him for having lunch, but there are other things that can be done .... did those cops ever think "if this was my daughter ....."

I'm amazed she is keeping going, frankly, given how little support she has received.

A senior Avon and Somerset Police officer and former president of the National Black Police Association, who apparently had "a distinguished career" tackling violence against women, has been dismissed without notice and added to the barred list to prevent him from serving as a police officer again for 'punching two women'.

While off-duty on 6 May 2023, former south Bristol Inspector 569 Tola Munro threw and then dragged a woman, Witness A, to the ground while off-duty and punched her in the face two or three times, leaving a bruise to her cheek, before hitting another female, Witness B, who tried to intervene, during an argument about Meghan Markle and race:

Senior police officer who tackled violence against women fired for ‘punching two women’

Inspector 569 Tola Munro had denied the allegations and said he was acting in self-defence.

Gwent Police carried out a criminal investigation into the incident, culminating in the case being referred to the Crown Prosecution Service, which deemed there was insufficient evidence for there to be a realistic prospect of a successful prosecution.

"As an organisation we have carried out a huge amount of work in recent years around the topic of violence against women and girls. Inspector Munro's actions have undermined those efforts and will likely damage public confidence in policing.

"We hope the public can see from the actions we have taken that these allegations have been taken seriously from the moment we learned of them. The public's trust in policing is dependent on rooting out any officer, no matter their rank or experience, who should not be serving the public. We hope the robust action taken in this case highlights that commitment."

See: Met Pc slept with suicidal woman after making an on-duty visit to her home

“I have 44,000 people working in the Met. Sadly, some of them are abused at home, for example, and sadly, on occasion, I have a bad ’un”

- Metropolitan Police Commissioner, Dame Cressida Dick CBE QPM, speaking at the Women’s Institute, Tuesday 8 July 2021
Back in the news is the Metropolitan Police's former PC Philip Hunter who was exposed by the Standard newspaper for having a sexual relationshipwith a suicidal woman ("Mrs X") during a welfare visit and who has faced a new gross misconduct hearing after a dramatic U-turn.

Former PC Philip Hunter retired and worked as a London black cab driver when his initial 2020 disciplinary panel was held in secret and upheld a complaint that his conduct breached standards of authority, respect and courtesy, confidentiality and discreditable conduct which would have resulted in his dismissal if he had still been a serving Metropolitan Police officer.

However, in 2022, similar allegations against former PC Philip Hunter by a Mrs Y came to light in relation to misconduct in 2017, but the Metropolitan Police refused to take any further action against him, claiming that "a referral to disciplinary proceedings in this matter would be a disproportionate response in the circumstances of this case".

Then, in late July 2024, the Metropolitan Police announced that further misconduct proceedings would be brought against former PC Philip Hunter, alleging that he "engaged in inappropriate communications with a victim who was vulnerable and whom he had met whilst carrying out his responsibilities as a police officer, with a view to forming a sexual relationship with her or to have inappropriate sexual contact with her.”

Yesterday, former PC Philip Hunter, was found guilty of gross misconduct ... again ... five years after Mrs Y had lodged a complaint and only after the Independent Office for Police Conduct had overturned the Metropolitan Police's decision not to take any action:

"Greater Manchester Police's Assistant Chief Constable Wasim Chaudhry has tonight issued a further statement on the incident. In it, he confirmed that a male officer has been 'removed from operational duties.' The force confirmed he has not been suspended."

More of the "fuller picture" to which the Mayor of Greater Manchester, Andy Burnham, and others have referred in relation to an incident at Manchester Airport on Tuesday 23 July 2024:

A South Wales Police officer "sought to exploit" a vulnerable victim of abuse and then allegedly made her lie about their relationship.

Paul Higgins, 42, of Hengoed, Caerphilly, has denied five charges, including the improper exercise of police powers and privileges by a constable, three counts of unauthorised access to police computer systems and perverting the course of justice.

The court was told that Higgins instructed the complainant to lie that they'd met years earlier on a night out, saying that if she did not he could lose his job and that he'd contemplated suicide. She said she felt obliged to help him and feared he would take his own life. In fact Higgins met the complainant when he was an attending officer after she called the police about a domestic abuse incident.

It has been reported that former PC Philip Hunter previously served in the Metropolitan Police's Parliamentary and Diplomatic Protection Command.

Former

Metropolitan Police sexual predator PC Phil Hunter engaged in a ‘pattern of sexually predatory behaviour’, preying on two vulnerable women before he was finally brought to justice. Last week, one victim’s five-year fight to be heard concluded - she tells her story here:

My battle to bring predatory Metropolitan Police officer from the same unit as Wayne Couzens to justice

A serving Metropolitan Police officer, PC Adam Aspinall Da Encarnacao, who is attached to the policing team in West Area, will appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Monday 12 August 2024 to face two charges of misconduct in public office. These charges relate to inappropriately possessing and sharing CCTV images concerning the alleged rape of one woman and the rape of another. One of the women is Natalie Patricia Shotter who died in Southall Park on 17 July 2021, and in relation to whom a man now awaits trial for rape and manslaughter.

PC Adam Aspinall Da Encarnacao was arrested on 12 September 2022 and immediately suspended from duty. On 3 July 2024, the Crown Prosecution Service authorised the two charges of misconduct in public office.

The matter is being investigated by the Metropolitan Police's professional standards officers, and misconduct matters will be dealt with at the conclusion of the criminal proceedings.

The Metropolitan Police says it is “extremely sorry” for failures in protecting two domestic murder victims from harm.

Two vulnerable women, Naomi Hunte and Fiona Holm, were killed 17 months apart within a few miles of each other in South London.

Behind the recent successful conviction of Carl Cooper lies a catalogue of failures which both families believe could have saved the lives of their loved ones:

“We again extend our sincere condolences to their families as they continue to grieve for these two beloved women.

“We have always been clear that we made mistakes when dealing with allegations against Carl Cooper. For those mistakes we are extremely sorry.”

Apparent avid reader, PC Adam Aspinall Da Encarnacao of Loudwater in Buckinghamshire, appeared before Westminster Magistrates’ Court earlier today holding a copy of 'Credible and True: The Political and Personal Memoir of K. Harvey Proctor' by Harvey Proctor when he stood in the dock and indicated to the court that he intends to plead not guilty two charges of misconduct in public office.
