Heh. I had Berbatov as captain and have catapulted myself into the top 10 again. Not quite the heady heights of the past, but it's still tight at the top.

if I'd bought him the week before I'd probably still be in the top 10

I deserve the sack tbf

Don't think I've ever seen the league this tight before:

Katsu Slowth Rich Ball 54 1320
TJ Tiggers Terry Allen 65 1309
Muntfest Rovers III Jason Duffield 48 1308
The Ricemen Cometh Glyn Thomas 60 1305
crackburn fc ed conway 45 1304
Slugger's Slackers Slugger O'Toole 57 1303
Nandos Nutmegs Paul Newby 54 1301
No One Likes Me Rob Gurney 65 1300
GO Stetsa Ruud Van-Driva 61 1296
Hednesford Town Richard Langston 44 1295

I've climbed to 6th. Well placed for the homeward run. (That's me buggered now)

The link you have given in your post is not working properly...
either i have aslow internet connection or the link is completely broken.....

Its a wierdun this season. Anyone doing well up front if now being substituted or not starting (Van der Vaart, Drogba, Malouda, Berbatov), yet they are still at the top of the points tables...not many people to replace them with either.

Really struggling this season.

Me too. This season is defying logic. Brought in Hernandez only for him to be subbed off for berbatov.

I've (foolishly in hindsight) set the Head to Head league up so the top 4 play off in a mini cup to decide the winner. I think that means that the last 2 weeks are the play-off weeks.

This is how it stands at the moment with lots of teams still in contention to make the playoff final:

1 Slugger's Slackers 24 1 8 1825 73
2 The Horror 21 2 10 1722 65
3 The Ricemen Cometh 20 2 11 1772 62
4 Real Roffey 20 2 11 1648 62
5 GO Stetsa 20 1 12 1857 61
6 INFERNO ROSSONERO 20 1 12 1686 61
7 Site Breakers 20 0 13 1741 60
8 Renegade Chip Shop 19 2 12 1631 59
9 Tommy Gloins Combo 19 1 13 1575 58
10 AFC Repentant 18 1 14 1614 55

Oooh, it's the first round of the Urban head-to-head league mini final today. The fixtures are:

Slugger's Slackers 0 : 0 Tommy Gloins Combo
The Ricemen Cometh 0 : 0 GO Stetsa
The Horror 0 : 0 INFERNO ROSSONERO
Real Roffey 0 : 0 Site Breakers

in the top 20, a good week would see me just outside the top 10, a bad week would see me more mid table

In contention for top place in 3 leagues and top 3, or top 5 more likely in the Urban league

if I can hold on to 1st in two leagues I'll be happy. I'm glad to have hung in there as a contender in the u75 league - it's a massive old beast

if that's the final table.

What's showing now is still 'provisional' with automatic substitutions and all that stuff still being sorted out.

It seems to be taking longer than usual this evening.

bugger it, i'm going to bed. i can find out if i've made europa vase territory tomorrow.

Nice. My last minute substitution of Lescott only gone and won it for me, well third place in the mahoosive urban league anyway. I did manage to overhaul someone else's 20 point lead in another league on the last week mind, which was surprisingly gratifying. There were only 11 teams in that smaller league (loosely based around the local pub), but 3 of them have finished in the top 10 of the Urban league too. Close year

In all I've won 3 of the 4 leagues that I've entered, so it's been a pretty darn good season. Thanks Joleon.

17th. not a bad season, now it's time to rebuild for next season, I have had a vote of confidence from the chairman and the board, so I think I'm safe.

a late season Everton-like finish though - (top 10 for May!)

2nd in the main league. :) Would have won the H2H if it wasn't for those pesky kids!

Actually the H2H seems to have ended in a draw:

GO Stetsa 42 : 42 INFERNO ROSSONERO

So well done to both. Guess it means IR qualifies for Europe next year as GO S won the main league.

I suppose 9th in a mega-league isn't at all bad.

I just hope this isn't taken by the fans as an indication that it's time to consolidate and move to a new level. If Charlton's experience is anything to go by, this is not a good thing...
