Don't underestimate how well he reacted to Terry's awful backpass. Kept them in it.

Also, the punch first half looked flappy, but the ball was coming down from a very steep angle and he did the right, solid thing, which is to punch directly in the direction the ball was coming at him, getting good height so that the defenders had time to deal with it.

His handling was faultless, which it isn't always. He wasn't required to make any big saves, but I think most people would acknowledge that James is a great shot stopper.
