I'm going to have to google the second two. I've wanted a Peters Projection for ages. The boy said he couldn't find me one :hmm: I'm sure they'd do them in Stanfords.

actually, the one I thought was a pacific focus, is actually an upside-down atlantic focus. still cool though :)

I was really after an upside down pacific focus but couldn't find one at the time.

right, am off to buy some frames now :)

I bought a double 200 thread count Egyptian cotton sheet and a pillowcases to match in white.

Recently I have a thing for white sheets and shortly will be making up my bed with all new bedding as I bought a white duvet cover a while back too....:)

A set of plaques by this guy called Petr Weigl... saw them at Cockpit Art studios about three years ago and loved it, and could just about afford it, but by the time I considered buying one, his prices had doubled (obviously found his market!). Went there again today, and he was selling off a load of smaller plaques (about 9 x 6 inches) for £75 each down from £300! Seeing as we were given a lovely wedding present of £250 to spend 'on art', still unspent, we immediately knew we wanted to by three of 'em.

Can't get piccy linky to work, but each on is a smooth, cream-coloured concrete plaque with what looks like a pitted, eroded path running through it, with a cool, chinese-looking square red stamp in each one, which is the artists signature. We're going to hang ours horizontally, in fact - there's 4 screws at the back, so you can hang them either way.

Dead chuffed, as I had just been wondering how we could ever find something we were both totally happy with to spend the money on (we'd come close before, but never 100% both happy) but we could be happy about these, as we've wanted his stuff for ages.

Excuse me - from where?

And today I bought some table linen, some red bamboo placemats, some of those diner style glasses and two marvellous chunky orange mugs. I'm going to make myself some tea in one of them right now.

I've never tiled anything in my life.

That's a shame :(:D

I've bought a string pull, a towel rail and a towel ring today.

I need to find a bathroom mirror (length 50cm x 30cm width), a cheap one, but preferably not totally plain.

Anyone know anywhere that sells cheap mirrors?

What does it look like?

I kind of want one like my ma used to have  but it's a bit more than £12

I used to sit on one of those as a kid.:D

Afraid mine's not like that it's like this

just got a wardrobe fitted. Comme ci. Which I love, except has a gap up top due to wonky wall which the fella is coming back with sealant/molding stuff to fill. Is all minimalist and makes me feel neat.

(look how glam my bed is too!! :p:oops::D)

My house is not stylish, I'm calling it bohemian

Last night we bought a rangemaster 110 classic with splash back and hood. Tonights its the rest of the kitchen which only costs a few hundred quid more than the cooker.
