Really liking some of this jewellery, shame I'm skint. :(

Looking good Spangles...infact you are looking super-good.. & killer b I love your shopping finds but I do wonder if radio atomica rolls her eyes when you come home with another find!...:D

I will say it on here now...I AM BUYING NO CLOTHING OR MAKE-UP ETC GUBBINS IN MARCH....I really really need to keep spending to essential items only. So I'm buying a backpack and some perfume today (essentials) xxx

How did you know?!

1960s vintage levis denim jacket. dunno when in the 60s yet, consulting the nerds as we speak.

bless poorly labelled ebay items.

Black Boden dress off eBay. I don't really like Boden but I'd drunk a lot when I bid for it  Anyway, surprisingly I rather like it :)
I have now bought 3 black frocks since Christmas so I've banned myself from eBay for a bit.

if it lingers after a wash you could always try sprinkling it liberally with bicarb and putting it into a pillowcase or summat for a couple of days. if it gets the stink out of running shoes it should manage a bit of must.

A good wash with fabric softener and an air out (hanging it outside to dry) should shift old musty smell no problem.

Fucking waited ages to get a new bottle of foundation and they've only sold me the wrong one... Ah well, I'll have to nip in town tomorrow and swap it. Costs a small fortune for parking or public transport though.

i've had a smell problem with two cardigans lately. One was from ebay and smells of soothers cough sweets, the other was new from collectif and smells of stale spices. Both are now on their third wash with heavily scented fabric softener and while the spicy one is now only just noticable, the 'soothers' one still absolutely reeks of blackcurrenty-menthol.

don't really want to risk another machine wash with the jacket - it's the best part of 50 years old, and delicate in places. plan is to hang it outside for a few days once the weather improves, that usually works.

Update on that corset

After putting it on for only the second time one of the bones came through the stitching and jabbed my armpit. If you want something to wear once for a bit of fun, buy it. Otherwise IMHO you definitely get what you pay for.

OTOH I've learned a few things from it - more boning spreads the pressure, a busk is easier than hooks & eyes, and it pays to either cap or round off the ends of all the bones used. Also, if this is the standard of bottom of the market stuff, I really should think about making my own.

You might be able to get your parking money/petrol money back. We used to do that in House of Fraser if the customer complained loudly and long enough, especially if it was our fault the customer had to come back.

:hmm:

TBF I don't think most people on the dole are out buying Clinique foundation anyway, but I've got rotten skin.

This bra is *very* balconette - no men I know can dance anywhere near me if I'm out raving...well they can but with their backs to me.... :D

My bra underwire (underplastic) went this morning  Felt a *pop* under my left tit on the escalator

Thank all that is holy I have some M&S vouchers in my wallet! Trip to Westfield Stratford tonight :(

Oh noes! I live in fear of this sort of thing happening....if I go out raving all weekend I even take a spare with me unless I'm within easy reach of home.

Have just discovered that my £20 Accessorize bag is a total copy of a £1,2850 Proenza Schouler (whoever they are) bag<snip>
I'd be scared to carry a bag that expensive, in case it got lost or damaged . Apart from the shape of one flap, the bags really are very similar.
