Detail your latest clothes and slap related purchases here #2

New dress for drinks on Saturday. It’s a bit short but fine with tights as long as I don’t fall over. 👍 I also bought a tote bag from FatFace but I don’t love it now it’s here. Shame as it wasn’t that expensive unlike all the others I like. 😡D2E77C8D-DB36-4697-AA38-BC7D0CCA07E0.jpegFAAED7EB-2383-40EB-B19A-A881D1DAC4FE.jpeg

Cords don’t have a lot of stretch do they?

I’ve ordered two sizes, one slightly too small and the other slightly too big. 😡

I’ve been mostly WFH for 3 years and built an impressive collection of loungewear and trainers.

I’ve also been in a role where jeans and trainers is fine.

I’m now returning to the office at least 2 days a week and full time for the first few. Fuck.

If trainers are ok I’m golden but I need to suss that out when I start I think.

I’ll need a couple more dresses, some trousers and some shoes. I’m off to hunt for brogues. Can I wear those with wide leg trousers as well as straight and tapered?

I’ve just bought these. Will they go with brogues? The plan was trainers before this turn of events.

Bought a pair of the rather unappealingly titled Levi's Ribcage Straight Ankle jeans (although I am a shortarse so the cuffs sit on top of my trainers rather than being half-mast like this model). I was wearing a pair of Levi's of a different cut in a size 29 waist and they're a bit tight on me, so I tried a 30 but they were absolutely massive, and I ended up going out of the shop with a 28 and they're still looser than my existing 29s  clothes sizing is wild. Also a pair of Spanish pseudo-Birkenstock sandals from TK Maxx for 17 quid.

Continuing the denim dress theme, of which I can't get enough, I also have this one. The shoulder ruffles are a frill too far and are coming off, but the rest is just grand. Pockets and poppers.

I’ve now bought this. It’s a good job we live so far apart. 😄

Did you take the shoulder frill off ok? I don’t want to ruin it but it is indeed a frill too far.

Yes, very carefully, and with sharp scissors, right under the edge of the seam. CBA unpicking and doing it properly.
