Detail your latest clothes and slap related purchases here #2

Since I got my critical illness payment I decided to splash out.
Bought a very vintage 1930s velvet reversible coat. It's black velvet one side and purple on the other...with a most unusual pattern.

I also bought a pair of black Grenson Elle boots someone had never worn.

I lasted nearly a full year without buying anything. These have cheered me up quite a bit.
I'd never have bought these while I was working.....but i will swan around in them whilst cocooning with a big smile on my face 😊

That coat sounds wonderful, what's the cut like ?

Bought some Uniqlo 'warmlite' leggings yesterday, am wearing them under my trousers, definitely very cosy. Should probably have gone for the Small size, as M is a bit Nora Batty around the ankles, but hell, they're only to be worn under things. And will be needed in 11 days when we go to Slovakia, where it's currently -12C

I have some Uniqlo 'ultra warm wear only in the arctic' thermals on their way so I'm glad to hear they're warm, I may be able to get away with wearing only 234 layers instead of 364 :D

Has anyone here tried haemorrhoid cream on their face? I had some left over from a party where a guest brought it round, complete with lidocaine, so now that I’m 40 I’ve started using it around the eyes as a preventative measure - I’ve heard it’s effective. I wondered what others experiences were.

I've never been to that kind of party!

I'm sure it used to be a celeb trick. like a decade or so ago to tighten under eye bags. but it's a temporary fix and then didn't 'they' start saying not to?

Maybe next tI’ve.
If I was gonna use haemorrhoid cream on my face it probably wouldn't be from a second-hand tube that someone else had presumably been using on their arsehole...
Well we all had a go - they brought it round so we could all feel the cooling lidocaine. I just squirted out the top layer to get to the fresher stuff. Waste not, want not, etc.

Oh, that’s disappointing. I hoped I’d found a cheap life hack to be getting on with.

A few years ago, my brother bought me some Emma Hope kitten heels after my back had gone - I only wear flat or stiletto, no in between. I was frightened the latter was off limits. I was offended by his gift - I said ‘do I look like Theresa May to you?’ - they went to a charity shop. However, middle age calls and these are nice. They’ll look good with jeans and a jacket.

I should probably report my card as missing now, before any more damage is done.

Pinko is dangerous - I can barely walk past without getting sidetracked by something.

Well, I believe I’ve done my bit for the high street now.
