Weird question. Didn't think it needed a new thread, at least not yet. When you put in hoop earrings do you have the hinge at the front or the closure at the front? For years I've gone hinge at the front and they're a pain to put in but it occurred to me this morning are they supposed to be in the other way??

I dont think it matters with hoops- whatever is easiest for you.....

I bought some Snag chub rub shorts a couple of weeks ago and I've been wearing them this weekend.
OMG, they're a complete game changer!
So comfortable, stay put, not too hot.
I can see me actually wearing some of the lovely dresses I own this summer..
Highly recommended.

They are amazing in hot weather.
I have a pair and under a long dress you can't feel you're wearing anything more than your knickers, apart from the absence of hot, sweaty, chaffing thighs

I've been dithering over these on eBay for a while.
I have a bit of a fetish for DMs, particularly "not obviously Docs" summer vintage summer shoes/trainer type styles. The price is a bit silly, but I do want them.

Am I the arsehole, or should I just buy and be damned? I do bloody love them.

I quite like these, although not sure about the stitching. Personally I feel justified in buying pricey shoes if I am going to wear them a lot and they are good quality and will be comfortable etc. One point about those shoes is that they will get dirty quickly and then how do you clean fabric shoes? Plus have you got the rest of the outfit to go with them, whatever that would be.

Was in a bit of a dress-buying panic after several unsuccessful shopping trips and with very limited time left to buy a dress for a wedding I'm supposed to go to while on (international!) holidays next week.

Trusty JOY came through for me, after I discovered that there is a newly opened branch in Canary Wharf (Brixton store has closed down).

The pattern, let alone the little leopard print belt detail are more lively than anything I usually wear, but cut and colours look very flattering on me, and the fabric is very comfy without looking too t-shirtey.
I love it!

Bought some sandals :hmm:

Might be useful when the weather is awful I suppose.

Also......New trainers for work.....I've really pushed the boat out, spent a lot of money and bought road running trainers for supination. This is because at work I average 15K steps a day and it is a concrete floor and my knees and back are not good.
I'm waiting for them to arrive.

I’ve just ordered some white Nike air max. I never really have any patience for the idea of people being too old to wear certain things but I’m wondering if this might be the exception. 😄
My daughter was a little circumspect when I recently bought some Converse Hi-Tops. :hmm::)

yeah fuck that.

I got told I looked like a children’s entertainer the other day. i would have been bothered by that once, but couldn’t give a fuck now, and am probably even leaning into it

Basic bitch middle aged women indigo denim mini from Marks & Spencer. I have had to accept my long favourite distressed making-me-feel-young mini is, these days, filled to capacity by my arse and I'm just not comfortable wearing it anymore. Everywhere else I looked skirts were too short, too long, or had high/paperbag waists (elasticated with a frill at the top) - neither any use for me. Gotta say, the one I got is spot in for what I wanted - mid thigh and still short, but definitely covering arse - and I went for indigo because I'm a 90s girl and like my indigo and these zillenials of whatever can keep their washed out style.

I bought some new keks but they forgot to take the tag off. Is there a way of getting it off at home, or will I have to go back to the store with my receipt?
