Treated myself to pair of black Birkenstock shoes. I did try on a cheaper alternative but they were not even close. I have found I’m a size 3 in their sandals & 4 in shoes.

After stumbling across Sugarhill Brighton website which is full of very 'me' stuff, ordered a jumper as I realised I have a lot of chunky knits now but fewer light jumpers.

Two pairs of long johns. Two knitwear jumper items - pleased to be only a 2XL for all of these.

All from Sainsbury’s as it’s easier for me to get to and park than the city centre which in any case is too hectic and spread out for me.

Think I will get some more long johns for Xmas.

I am debating a black pinafore dress for back to the office stuff as I bought a load of interesting shirts during lockdown as they looked good on video calls and they could be under the pinafore.

But then, is pinafore a bit too school retro for a 45 year old?

I've a denim black pinafore with good pockets..I can wear it all year round. Its not short...comes to mid calf.. Its great to wear. Very comfortable. Definitely would recommend one.

This very nice charcoal wool jacket, £6.99 from my local Oxfam shop  Been trying to buy a smart jacket like this for ages and not found anything I liked in the brand new shops - this is exactly what I wanted.

Also got a pair of black jeans (Jasper Conran, £3.99) and a rather frivolous pair of black sequin trousers :D (Zara, £6.99), plus a nice Therapy jumper for my daughter. Long live the chazza.
