This from Yoox.com for my daughter's bat mitzvah in summer - hope it fits. I love this label but can't afford it full price!

What’s the label Cloo

Drat!!
Traces of neck grease around the collar. A pocket has worn through too. Can one successfully wash a raincoat in a machine?

Try baby wipes or water wipes on the neck area. Sometimes they're enough to remove a light stain.
The pocket might need to be fixed by a tailor or dressmaker.

I gave it over to my local dry cleaners and seamstress. She is replacing the pockets, re sewing all the buttons, removing stainage , cleaning and pressing and reproofing.
This will cost 30 quid all in but the quality and fit is remarkable and worth it.

I tackled the under stairs cupboard recently. It's always been bad but hey. I found a pair of Barkers and a pair of dealer boots plus a leather jacket moldering away. All cleaned and polished up . I need a south London recommendation for a cobbler. The Barkers need sole and heels as do the dealer boots. No cobbler any more in Morden. We had one. He was a ..

8, why...?
It must be great being a more catered for size. :)

Ah! well, I'm sure the grass is always greener - I'm always seeing pairs of Trickers and the like in big sizes in the max - maybe they might be there in 8s too originally, but the 8s go much faster...

I can't recommend a cobbler in south london, but unless you want a full resole or some specialist job done, any high street cobbler will do a decent re-heel IME. I know some well thought of places you can send away to if you don't want to take the risk though

I am wary but shouldn't be. I got bitten when I lived in Croydon. The cobbler at West Croydon Station had a row with a customer and done him, got out of his little shop in front of everyone and went garretty. He got remanded then away and me, I had four pairs of shoes in with him. All gone. They threw away every pair of shoes that were not pre paid.
I just had to swallow. It was hard though. I look at station cobblers up and down now.

I am being pushed to try a self described shoe maker, Konstantino. In Tooting. I'm vaguely remembering being in his shop before asking inane stoned questions. He does bespoke!

Well tomorrow he gets my Barkers and my dealer boots. Soles and heels and all in a rubber sole. I have had it with leather soles. I may get him to renew linings.

I will try and get pictures of his shop and him and that.

I'm happy to be spending a few quid on properly rehabilitating shoes that I threw in the cupboard of doom when depressed and a bit helpless.
I have given them a good clean and polish so he dont slag me. The Barker sole on one is beyond the cork. X
