Detail your latest clothes and slap related purchases here #2

Fluffy bedsocks from Lidl (to wear instead of slippers, which I hate), plus an oversized (I hope, given that my midsection is a size 18-20 at the moment while the rest isn't) darkish plaid viscose shirtdress to use instead of a far too bulky dressing gown.

some lucky autumn purchases in the last couple of days:

£2 in a charity shop

I just need to big up Rimmel's matte finish foundation. Cheap, great coverage, only have to use a tiny bit, great matte finish that lasts.

Only thing is it doesnt seem to set so comes off in stuff quite easily. I'm impressed though.

Bought a Chanel Inimitable Extreme mascara, because they seem to have stopped selling normal Inimitable here. It seems fine. Can't tell much difference between them tbh. :hmm:

I bought 5 pairs of winter tights from TKMaxx yesterday. £35 for £90 rrp. tights
It's worth going in if you're looking for coloured woollen or thick tights. I got two pairs Calvin Klein brown 60denier. A pair of Falke wine colour woven pattern wool type, Sage green woven Burlington tights and Navy woven pattern Esprit.

Sent last black skirt back, as too big and they'd sold out of next size down in... well, all of their black skirts, it appeared.

Then found this, which was actually much more what I was after, being a bit drapey and asymmetric, half price in House of Fraser and had enough vouchers to pay for all except the last £3.50:

My last two dresses: this by Bella Freud for Fred Perry. I've already worn it a good few times and it seems to keep me cool in the heat and warm in the cold. Would look good on anyone. Merino wool is worth every penny

Bought this dress today - I would dress it down with a sloppy joe cardigan, black tights and ankle boots

Bought a lovely Diesel jacket for winter the other day, £50 from TK Maxx

My question is - wtf is this weird strap across the inside of the back for? Doesn't seem to do anything other than annoy me and get in the way. Any ideas?

Is it for packing it down? Ie roll up and put the band round it?

My single dark brown matte eyeshadow crumbled into an unuseable mess so I bought a Technic Mega Matte Nudes 12 colour palette thing. It was DIRT cheap so I wondered obviously about the quality of it, but fuck me, it is lovely eyeshadow. You only need a tiny bit, goes on beautifully, blends brilliantly, and the colour range is ace. I'm way too old for owt shimmery now and this actually really complements my middle-aged/stoner eyes. Wow. Well decent value for money, proper made up

Have been a menace on eBay - again:

2 pairs of men's loose jeans for lounging around in and going walking - I previously had ONE solitary pair of jeans and that is not good enough.

2 wool jumpers - one lilac from M&S with a high neck - mixed fabric tho when it appeared, which I wouldn't normally buy - give me real or fuck off - the other one hasn't arrived yet, but is a White Stuff grey wool men's jumper, size small. I don't do the cold and I need a good loungey jumper for festivakl night.

Also a black fake fur coat.

In return - kind people have relieved me of a pair of jeans I never wore (too tight for this 42 yr old), a pair of men's jeans I bought that were too big, an All Saints jumper that isn't quite long enough, my fake fur leopard print coat (in the end, I didn't like wearing leopard print) - so that's fine - some in and some out.

The one jumper that has arrived is brill tho, long enough, roomy, comfy, nice non black colour, warm. I heart eBay.
