Aubergine Ralph Lauren Polo corduroy trousers
Tawny Port Samsoe & Samsoe wool crew neck jumper/sweater (is there a difference?)

Sweater is a vile word used by Americans to mean jumper, because they are wrong. If an American person says jumper they mean pinafore /overalls bizarrely.

Why do we never say jersey any more, I'm sure that was the main word used when I was little.

ETA the term sweater also encompasses cardigans, which is further proof of the wrongness of Americans, ie pullover and cardigan are subsets of sweater.

I'm going to say about 60 to 70 quid a month, although it varies wildly depending on my job prospects. Only spent a tenner last month as I thought I might be out of work, for example. Job contract extended? Spend spend spend! You get the picture. I think of it as a hobby as well and sell a fair bit on Ebay to try and recoup some losses.

My sympathies, Herr Voley! First thing I did when my P.I.P award was confirmed, was order a couple of pairs of gaberdine jeans, to replace other gaberdine jeans which are a bit "clown trousers" on me now. :) Come the summer, I may be trawling ebay for an out-of-season bargain in the shape of a crombie/covert coat, and ordering some bespoke shirts from my favourite Thai sweatshop (if my sewing machine skills extended as far as machining together shirts, I'd do 'em myself, but I'm at a strictly "take up hems" level!).

Tired of not having enough jumpers, saw this one half price on La Redoute and ordered; like the print, colours and shape, plus it's not made of anything that'll give me hives:

Very nice indeed.

Dress down Friday at work today so my Ebay bargains were aired. Not quite as bargainous as kb's above but still:
Black suede Lee Cooper jacket (£11)
Black pinstriped Hugo Boss shirt (£25)
Black Levi 511's (£18)
Black Timberland Earthkeepers (£15)

i tried some pikolinos boots before the ones above. they were so comfy in that they had cushioned soles but they were just too narrow. stupid wide feet.

shoe shopping is so frustrating for me. i love shoes, especially anything a bit different but i have wide feet and i can't walk in shoes with a medium heel that don't have a strap, my heels just pop out all the time as my feet are quite short.

the rieker stuff looks like a good brand though. lots of colourful stuff. debenhams.

Unionist trainers

I had a pair of these ages ago and wore them to death, so pleased to have got some again. They're suede and much comfier than standard Converse.

A couple of Holy Grail cheap sleeveless tops from H&M to show off the tattoo but not my bony middle-aged cleavage, one in black and one in grey
hmprod.jpg
also a long-sleeved t-shirt which I can't find a picture of from H&M that has an allover bicycle print which clearly I had to have. And about 50 quids' worth of various underwear from Marks and Sparks who were conveniently having a sale :)

Love those trainers. I've got some leather converse which I love lots but they rub so I can't wear them without socks. I might have to buy some hideous trainer socks for summer.
