Detail your latest clothes and slap related purchases here #2

Charity shop finds:

Vintage 1950's blue winter coat ($4.99)

A t-shirt with holes in it, but the beading around the collar was very nice and intact. I'm going to sew it onto another shirt ($.99)

A pair of black jeans, with embroidery at the heels (3.99).

With my "senior" discount it was a little less than $8.

I bought some plimsolls half price from Sainsburys (8 quid).

I think I like them but I'm slightly concerned that my last two footwear purchases (the last being brown leather chelsea boots) have both been from Sainsburys.

Is this because they've massively improved and are actually making good shoes and clothes or is it because any sense of style or taste I had has abandoned me? Hmmm :D

Anyway they look like this except they have suedeish panels on the sides and they weren't 140 quid.

I can't believe I've drivelled on for that long about an 8 quid pair of trainers.

I can't believe I'm about to answer your original post :D

Firstly, it may be age related, possibly? Certainly that's my excuse.
Secondly, Sainsburys have definitely upped their game in terms of styles/quality. I also bought some shoes there back along. Nowt to get excited about, but perfectly serviceable.
Some of their men's shirts aren't fucking horrible, at last.
A lot of it is still shit mind, all those fucking stupid big logos on t-shirts that blokes who should know better wear, you know the crap I mean, random designs with a massive
VENICE
BEACH

logo on and shit.
Hope that helps :)

:D It does actually apart from the age thing. For that, i want to give you a dead leg. ;)

God, those t shirts are horrible aren't they?
I find a lot of that shit in plus size clothes too. Apparently once you get over a size 16 there's nothing you want more than moronic slogans all over your clothes.

Fair play, I deserve that. Sorry :(
I'm getting on toward 50 now, so I really do have an excuse :D

I don't get it, I don't get it at all. Actually makes me angry!

Yes, there seems to be a lot of cross over between clothes for older women and clothes for bigger women. I guess they think once you're past a certain age or weight, you don't give a shit any more. That, or they're just assholes. Certainly some of the comments I've seen from designers might support that view.

I've had a bit of a splurge on easy. I wear lots of plain black for work and a nice necklace just perks things up a bit…

top one hasn't turned up yet. Second one is AMAZING- just big enough- about 5 inches across and lovely colours. Second from bottom (pineapple) looks really cheap. Bottom is nice but a bit too small and tasteful for me- I would have preferred a fat chunky rope.

And now I've found this <3

I am sticking with the fact that Sainsbury's sell brilliant clothes atm! :D

My mum bought me a load of stuff from there yesterday.
Mainly basics like black vest tops, black jeans etc but I got this... Ah bugger can't find a pic but it's a purple with black pattern jumper dress.
I love it but not sure if it suits me yet.

They do a really wide range of stuff. And thankfully sizes!

They really need to get online, it's annoying.
