Tartan tights

I have succumbed to the lure of tartan leggings, in amongst a boring and expensive lot of shopping for socks, plain leggings, hoodies etc. They're more rigid and trousery than I was expecting, partly because the pattern is printed I think, so better with long top/tunic type things than dresses and skirts.

Both my mum and my daughter pointed out today that I was wearing a school dress. I did swap the white shirt for a lace tshirt this afternoon (and then went to school)

If the dress were less interestingly cut, they'd have a point; as it is, they're sartorial philistines who wouldn't know a nuance even if it turned into a kipper and slapped them around the head.

Good move swapping the shirt for a lace T shirt, it'd change the vibe just enough. Love the shirt.

New slippers for t'winter.

It's quite nice this having a job lark and being able to buy nice things. I am treating myself loads and feel a bit guilty but I've never had so much money in my life before and I've worked my arse off (and work my arse off every day) so fuck it. Happy new things to me.
