I've been mowing my mother's yard all summer, last time I was out there she gave me money for a pair of shoes I've liked. I bought these:

I've also recently been called upon to climb up on the chicken house and chainsaw a tree off the roof, paint a tool shed, and replace boards in the side of a barn. Next time I go out, I get to patch the holes in the roof. At my house, I had to climb up on a ladder with a polesaw and clear a tree hanging over the garage. You'd think I'd be in shape by now, but I'm not.

older people should just advertise free "boot camp" style exercise classes at their houses in which they make younger people run around doing their odd jobs.

Not a purchase yet but Library of Fragrance, or Demeter as they were in Libertys when they stocked it, is now available in Boots. If you never sniffed any of their fragrances I recommend it highly and this is from someone who winces and retchs at over perfumed sorts. I have a tiny bit of the Play-doh fragrance and a bottle of pipe tobacco gifted to me some years ago. I can't wait to go and layer it all on. Perhaps some kind urb will link to their site for me. Bugger to do so on this thing I'm using.

Most of my colleagues wear simple, tasteful gold/pearls with their simple fitted shifts. But fuck it, I don't fit in, I may as well stand out

Cheers for that Cribynkle. I stopped for a squirt on the way home. Musk #7 is just white musk. Not unpleasant but takes me back a bit! Grass is lovely but disappears almost immediately on me. Thunderstorm smells amazing but my skin makes it smell like a surly but well fragranced teenager so that's a no. Just had room for 3 but sniffed a good few others. My skin tends to make fragrance sweeter than it is so I'll try a few others first. No Dirt in the Derby store.
