Detail your latest clothes and slap related purchases here #2

I'll never be cool again :(
The fact that you're buying alternatives to the beige is completely cool! I love the top blue one in your second post. And leopard print will always be  I believe it was spanglechick who pointed out that leopard is a neutral, because it goes with everything!

Completely off topic, but there's a plus size shop in holborn that I walk past four days a week, and it's quite classy although a bit too day at the races for me, but it's called Beige. Seriously. It makes me rage every time I walk past  I might put the windows in one of these days. Ffs.

Why would anyone call a shop Beige? They may as well have just called it Boring

Because if you're a middle aged woman bigger than a size 14 you should want to be invisible?:(
But beige doesn't make anyone invisible (unless somewhere with an early 1990s decor of magnolia, beige, and greige); it just tends to make people look wider and a bit more grey-skinned than they really are.

Bought some brown and white pinstriped linen trousers off ebay, for work purposes. They're quite nice :) I need to lose a little more off the hips and thighs for them to really be a good fit. And take an inch off the hems, obviously

I'm such an idiot. I've ordered a pair of shorts from new look to wear over my swimsuit at the beach. I did next day delivery but didn't look at the delivery address.

I just checked the order online and they are being delivered to my local new look store.

I'll have to phone the shop first thing to check if they'll accept the order or if they'll refuse to sign for it.

It's not a deliver to store thing so I don't know what they'll do.

What a twat. :D

Not exactly fashion but as I have to wear these bastards from now on, this is one of my new lymphoedema compressions sleeves.

Apart from perhaps spanglechick, you're the only person I can think of who could start a trend for compression sleeves among people who don't even need them, if you chose to.

Luckily for us less stylish mortals, you haven't chosen to do so, yet. *Looks nervously over shoulder*

Watch this space lovely :D

wow - thanks :D

I have to say, I'm quite jealous of them, although i'm sure if I had to wear them, i'd wish i had the choice. But yes. There should be more fashion-forward medical items. It's got to make such a difference to many people's esteem and thereby, how they cope with their condition.

When the nurse told me last week that I needed to wear the beige elastic compression sleeve I was close to tears. It seemed like I was doomed to always wearing cardigans or long sleeved clothing. :( Then when I realised that the compression sleeve fitted right down to my wrist and showed below the bottom of my regular clothing sleeves, I wanted to cry again.
Thanks to Lymphedivas (which I had never heard of) I'm saved :D

I found two great pairs of boots at the thrift store. One pair was a black knee boot and the other a cream color ankle boot. I was surprised to find them at Goodwill. I don't shop them here in town because their prices are twice anyone else's and their pricing between men's and women's clothing is discriminatory. There's no reason to charge women twice as much as men when they get all their clothes for free. The store I stopped at in Omaha was reasonably/equitably priced and actually clean too! I don't know why the stores in town have such a cobb up their ass.

Help me, Obi Wan Urban: I want some vest tops to show off my tattoo but not to show off my chest, which I don't like all that much. A few years ago this wasn't a hard thing to come by but all the ones I can find now seem to be really really low-cut :( Has anyone seen anything like this?

would it be horrendous to try places like bon marche or bhs? they might be slightly more inclined to stock less boob flashing vesty tops?

I think I have some primark ones that arent too bad on that front ( ) with thicker shoulder straps but they were probably old stock - were you after ones with thin spaghetti straps?

I had a look in BHS a few weeks ago but there wasn't anything. I'm going to have a wander on Friday. I don't mind thin straps, I quite like my arms/shoulders, it's just the low front that's the problem :(

I am feeling an itch to buy clothes at the moment, although I don't really need anything, and have spent the last couple of evenings online and have not found anything I like. I have money to spend and noone wants it!

Ditto here although I could do with more gym gear so I can be a bit lazy :D Thing is I'm now on a plan and buying clothes just before I start this thing seems a little redundant. Doesn't stop my itch though!!

Uniqlo is brilliant for that kind of thing. Cheapish but good quality. Not sure if you have one in Edinburgh but they have an online site iirc.

Charity shop wins - yellow hennes polyester dress, ribbon print lulu guiness t shirt, another workaday peach colour top with a ribbon detail, beautiful petrol blue jumper with a ribbon tie at the back of the neck, all new condition.

Try a make called Republic, they had some good ones a while ago. Btw I think the cut you are looking for is called "racer back", that might help you.

I can't stop buying shirt dresses  Mainly off eBay. I've got a checked one, a floral one, and a black linen one. They just seem right for summer.
