I had a bit of a splurge and now I'm really skint.

The slim straps hurt!

Plus a couple of cheap, thin cardigans from Asda.

Yet another racer back, navy with deep blue this time. Unexciting, but good enough for what it's for.

Had my eyes on these in Office for a bit... finally went in and they were on sale for £20 down from £50 (I really can't be arsed to spend more than £40 on shoes generally) and in my size:

Given my inability to do stilleto styles, I try to jump on wedges/stack heels when they are in fashion to hopefully tide me over for heels until next time...

These.

Four years I've lived in China and not been able to buy shoes. Today I picked up a size 41 in H&M and wistfully tried it on. They fucking fit!   FOUR YEARS I've been not buying shoes in H&M because I thought a 41 was a UK 7, not an 8. :D

I probably am officially the tallest woman in the province when I'm wearing them though.

This:

It's cotton, unlined, and in spite of being the right size it's difficult to get on as there are no fastenings. I had to squish everything to get the band of that dress past my tits to where it should be. I think I'll chop out most of the animal print bit, then sew the rest back on (bear in mind that it's currently ankle length on me).

The lower edge is overlocked and could probably do with some light curtain weighting to make it hang better too. :hmm:

Yes, I have heard that, but was still surprised to find it .. iyswim..

Don't be. You can go to M & S and buy a 38 waist that fits perfectly, then go to (well, not any more, like!) C & A and find that their 38 is baggy on you. There's no standardised size, and of course cut also affects fit.

Bought two pairs of 3/4-length shorts. They look awful (tbf most clothes look either "meh" or awful on me!), but DANG! are they comfy!!

Accidentally. :D
I'd had a glass or two of wine. :) I thought it was just a dress with a sort of pattern on it. When it came I realised the pattern was caused by the light bouncing off the sequins and if I'd read the blurb I'd have noticed the mention of sequins
Luckily, what arrived was far nicer than what I thought I'd bought :D

I was going to post this in the lympoedema thread but as these bloody things are going to be part of my wardrobe from now on, this is about to become my first 'fashion compression sleeve'

ah well, it's better than the NHS beige shitty thing that I'm wearing now :)

That's ace! Where's it from? That US site, or did you find a British one?

It's from a british site but supplied by the american Lymphediva. I've ordered it but need to check it's the right size tomorrow.
The site I ordered it from sells stuff from Lymphediva but they are closing down :(
It's bad news that it's closing down, just when I need it  but good news that they are having a clearance sale although the one I've ordered isn't in the sale. When I speak to them tomorrow I may bag a couple of bargains as well :)

ffs, what's happened to me that I'm pleased about being able to buy bargain 'compression sleeves'
I'll never be cool again :(

Arf Shirl :D

My latest purchase was a Seasalt navy blue shirt printed with daisies, in a lovely thin soft cotton. Knocked down in the John Lewis clearance. I also got Mr K a nice pair of jumpers, one blue cotton and one rust-coloured cotton/cashmere.

The palm tree thing arrived, I wore it out shopping and found a hole (a bra flashing hole). Assuming it was just me being a clumsy spanner, I tried to repair the hole which was fairly unsuccessful.

After my shoddy repair job, I realised there was a hole on the back too.

So after cutting the frayed bits, cutting off a bit round the neck to patch it and totally fucking it up I realise that I hadn't actually ripped it and something must have happened during packing or something. :D

I just had to return it to Evans which was very embarrassing but I got a full refund so yay!

I wondered if they'd had some kind of attack of the killer moths at Evans - I got something a couple of weeks ago that was riddled with holes like gun shot.

You too!

Or it could be the killer seagull that just attacked our stuff at the beach and burst my cranberry juice. :D
