Thanks Sparklefish, Yu_gi_oh, and Greebo.

Don't think I'm brave enough to be wearing nude underwear but cheers.

I think Ill settle for strappy (probably black) top underneath. I also imagine black for what you suggest ie long-sleeved, sparklefish.

Yeah, black or chocolate brown I reckon.

That scaramanga is lovely @sparklefish !! I saw a welligogs one similar - I'm not buying either of them seeing as I have a Mulberry brown leather bag and a tan leather small satchel already

I bought some S&G Breakfast Scrub (my favourite body scrub ever - it's sugar not salt so doesn't sting your bits  :D ) No 7 bronzer and face and body big puffy brush, and a Rimmel Mascara. The rimmel mascara is really shit. It's this one. Please don't buy it :D

I think Rimmel might get a letter about this mascara it's that bad :D :hmm: :D

Can you include me too, please? I couldn't be arsed, and just chucked it straight in the bin.

Don't suppose you bought it from boots? If so, take it back. I took 2 waterproof mascaras back when they flaked all over my face, I also took some perfume back when the lid broke.

I did buy it from Boots :hmm: Did they give you a refund?! :D

Yeh it's terrible for smudging, and I don't mean me rubbing my eyes, I mean where my eyelashes touch my browbone it comes off

Well, on the mascara they exchanged it for another twice. One was a No 7 and the other Loreal.

They gave me a new bottle of perfume too when Ghost never even responded to my email.

I didn't ask for a refund so not sure if they would have but I expect so.

So is mine ;-)
ME too, I assumed black.

I've also had time to consider this and realised that I wouldn't wear anything under this, like a long sleeved top maybe because I find it too grungey/ Seattle. I also can't imagine anyone who has worn anything similar and looked good, it might be more about that. But anyway, thanks - strappy top is the simple solution (although probably too hot for summer).

Thinking back to when those mesh type jumpers were "in" during the summer before (ie 80s), my solution was a bikini top under it. Useful if you're near a cold but sunnyish beach, or you need an extra layer for early mornings and evenings.

Bought a couple of things on La Redoute, as I there's a £50 off £100+ spend, and I figured it might be a way to get nicer quality knitwear than I'd be able to afford otherwise, given my woeful lack of jumpers and the fact that it's obviously going to be another bitching cold winter. Couldn't find a third jumper, but got some slim-fit black trews instead.

Teenage girl cable sweater. Hope it doesn't look too 'lumpy' on me.

And this part-cashmere hoody:

Taking a bit of a chance as to whether they'll work on me, but we'll see.

Quite boring for me, but knitwear's a difficult one. There don't seem to be many really 'interesting' jumpers out there and I find it hard to find ones that really look nice and don't either cling to the wrong places if tight or lose me inside them if baggy.

That's a great idea actually. Bit revealing but maybe I will.

 How is a bikini top underneath going to keep you warm at a cold beach? I wouldn't count a bikini top as an extra layer, do you mean for warmth?

Talking at cross purposes, I think. The holey jumper is the extra layer (it traps more warm air than you'd expect), not the bikini top.

Practical stuff: a new long black vest and a long black top with long sleeves. Both for wearing underneath dresses and tops. a pair of chunky cable knit socks. Also a bird print dress from ebay.

I've been looking for a Scaramanga satchel on eBay since my 'mulberry' bag died and have finally got one.

Most of the bags I find are Scaramanga style or go for silly money.

This one is used but in good condition so I got it for 31 quid plus postage. They're 99.50 new so I'm really chuffed.

Just hope it actually looks like the pictures when it arrives.

It's here and it's beautiful! It's in really good condition apart from a small mark on the lining which I knew about.

It's lovely leather and smells so nice and I'm as sure as I can be that's it's genuine Scaramanga. : )

I bought some Wolford purple tights with a wide red stripe up the sides today from TKMaxx. £7.50 reduced from £37.00
In the Halifax store they also have masses of Wolford lingerie and tops. I bought some red knickers and a black shirt top from there on Tuesday. I'm guessing lots of other branches will have the Wolford too.

Oh, great flag, thanks.

I feel the need for a proper shopping trip. I have mostly been buying stuff like windows and garden sheds recently, which isn't very satisfying....

I couldn't find any Wolford stuff in my size in the Brixton TKMaxx the other day. Tbf it was a right mess in there, with everything strewn all over the place so I didn't look that hard.

It must just be down to the managers and staff numbers but some TKMaxx are really organised and tidy, the two nearest to me are but then again they don't really get the best stock in and they aren't all that busy.

The Wolford stock had a free standing unit a little bit away from the rest of the tights and underwear.

I must have been lucky when I went in then. You have to go through most of the tights & stockings (which are already difficult to find, being right in the far corner behind the shoes), and the selection seemed pretty random.
