Detail your latest clothes and slap related purchases here #2

i'm pretty much a 12 atm, i can still squeeze into some of my 10s but only just. the 12 was hanging off me, with a good 3-4" to spare on the waist.

This - from the same ebay shop tha pigtails bought her cherry frock from. Very nice.

and this for work from markses, which is much nicer in the flesh and ultra flattering

yeah - the straps will need a bit of tweaking before i can convert them to non-halter, cos they're at the wrong angle, but it's true to size, and decent fabric. For £30 i'm well pleased - it's not vivien of holloway quality, nor even quite as good as Collectif, but it's considerably cheaper than both, and comes in a better size range.

It's much better quality and fit than those Kaylani (sp) dresses from ebay that Clair and MsT and Madzone and I bought in the summer.

All good. I was going to buy then when they dropped to 35, but forgot to. Looks like they went down to 15 today and I snaffled the last pair.

I actually really wouldn't mind some better quality jeans than the kind I normally get from New Look or wherever. Do any of them come in larger sizes?

Yeah - I'd like a decent pair of jeans.. I seem to keep buying them and then being disappointed. They all seem to be stretchy which just ends up with me having a very saggy bum. I'd like some skinny-ish - but not dead tight more straight legs but straight enough to wear boots over - but not stretchy black jeans with a reasonably high waist in a 16 to hold in the mummy tummy (not it's NOT because of the pies...). I'm aware that this is asking for the moon on a stick. I'd spend more money for this because I more or less only wear jeans when not at work (although recently it's been lots of leggings). I was wondering about those "not my daughter's jeans" - they seem to get good press but they really are pricey... but then I'm beginning to realise I may as well buy one pair of really well fitting decent jeans rather than the legion of £15 ones that are clogging up my drawers and sagging off my bottom.

eta bloody hell Killer B - you did well there!

So this week I bought a pair of black 8 hole DMs in a fit of nostalgia and also I went to the Marble Arch Evans to check out the Beth Ditto range. I really wanted this:

but they'd sold out..

I tried on this 'cos I liked the little eiffel towers and ladies with pooches print..

but it looked shit.

I ended up buying this, although I didn't like the print so much on the hanger - it looked really nice on and is dead comfy and hides a multitude of sins. Plus I can wear it with legging and my new DMs...

I usually get my Jeans from Next, They are the best fit for me and go up to size 22 I think.

i'm afraid i know nowt about ladies jeans - the gents tend to go up to a fairly large waist though, so there is hope...

i have to say though, if you can afford it (or find a cheap source), the difference between generic high street jeans & premium quality jeans is substantial - they last longer, hold their shape better, and feel better against the skin. the cut is usually more flattering in my experience too...

eta - I bought a Kushi dress in the summer - is that the one you mean? The fit is ok, it's just my ridiculous tits.

that's the one. wonder where i got the other name from.

i thought it was small on the boob, far too high on the waist and v cheap fabric. fine for the money, i spose but i dunno how much i'll wear it.

She said they were getting more in. I could get it online I suppose but I'm trying to curb my online spending. If I really want it I'll go get it and that's pretty tough these days .. it is purdy though but not sure whether I could carry off that peter pan collar..

I thought it was really good value but I ony paid a tenner. I wear mine all the time :)

My dress arrived in record time but I fear it is too big. Am going to see if they have a smaller size in Peckham or Camberwell. :hmm:
