I really want this dress ^^ but it wont fit me :( :( gits
That is a fabulous dress. With a black jacket I could wear that. <<plots>>

Did you not read the not fitting part of Callie's post

Is style369 any good ladies? I've just been looking and it's crashy as fuck and I'm wondering whether I should persevere tomorrow?
Sorry, blonde moment... And just found it online and it goes to 14. Which is no use to anyone with large breasts, so I may be out of luck too

Ah the massive breast conundrum :D You are one of us  I spilled out when the button broke on the shirt dress I picked up at clothes swap last week today. Which would be slightly less annoying if said dress was not already 2 sizes too big for me everywhere else

Only goes up to a 14 which i doubt very much would fit me, I can just about squeeze my arse into some size 16 dresses :D
I am not that big (at least I don't think I am....) but I find 14s and 16s periodically don't work. My theory is, sizes are made on anorexic 14 year olds, so no hips and other key secondary sexual characteristics. When they upsize to 14 or 16 or whatever, they don't change the proportions.... So the things just don't fit women. Brands owned by women (even skinny women...) tend to be much better

Anything with the word shirt is a lost cause for me . I have never found a shirt that didn't gape, unless I sew it closed.... I buy shirts in the US, sew the boob bit closed and then take in the waist. Takes forever, so on the whole I don't wear shirts....

Actually, the truth is in a lot of cases, that sizing is now massively inaccurate compared to 40 years ago. A 12 now is a fuck load more generous than it was then. As those of us who dabble in making clothes know, you can generally go up 2-3 sizes on an old pattern (e.g. I'm a 16-18, but if I make a dress off a pattern, I'll generally be a 22-26 dependent on shape). Vanity sizing is very much in effect. I can get into a 14 from New Look on the right day but an 18 from Next won't even go over my hips.

I buy tailoring from 'expensive' brands- Jaeger, Maxmara etc- and am a 14. I buy tops etc from a wide variety of brands and am anywhere from a 12 to an 18. But the thing about old fashioned tailoring is it fits- it has gaps for breasts and hips, and goes in at the waist. Whereas most modern stuff is really straight- so a 16 will be tight in the boobs, but baggy round the waist. So you feel shit and fat, but all you are is female

I find sizing very inconsistent everywhere, even within the same shop. I am generally a 12, but have some 14s, the odd 10 and a couple of 16s (H&M, god bless em). I am an hourglass, and find that more and more stuff is being cut for people without hips and a waist. It's hard to find trousers that fit.

I barely wear trousers for the same reason. Big tum/waist but no arse doesn't make for an easy fit. I have everything from a size 14 to 24 in my wardrobe and it's pretty much all stuff I wear frequently.

Yeah, trousers are a nightmare. I tend to buy wide legs because my waist is small ish but I have hips. Anything else gapes. Fucking nightmare

I am complete opposite. Small waist (proportionally) but hips that would shame a fertility goddess.... Trousers don't work for me either

Does anyone find trousers that fit? I have small waist and lady hips with round bottom. If the cut isn't right at the front, it creates lots of creases which point to my lady bits. Not a great look.

If you can't find trousers to fit- and you are tiny- we are all fucked

I am quite well-proportioned but trousers defeat me most of the time. I also have a short body and long legs which means that the "waist" of many trousers falls at my widest point. Disaster.

I think the problem is so many different shape of lady and only a one size fits all measuring. Gap jeans often fit me alright. Generally I wear leggings - saves the hassle of shopping for trousers and the ironing.

Bought a nice jumper dress, top and pair of gloves today. Got my first student discount too, woohoo.
Only problem is that I tried the drs on again at home and it's probably a bit too clingy. I bloody well hate clothes shopping.

I have loads of pairs of jeans that seemed to fit ok in the shop but after a couple of wears and washes are either uncomfortably tight or require a belt to stay up.

See from my point of view most things are designed for people with hips but no tits. And...... oh I'm not even going to bother. Clothes shopping is annoying.

Sizing: trousers never fit me. I'm a size 8 waist with a 10/12 hips and a moderate to ample rack. Trousers, shift dresses, skirts with a fixed waistband... It's completely hit and miss and utterly depressing as nothing fits or flatters me when I go shopping and I often come home empty handed. 'Snot fair.

Some shops are ok, though often if I want the waist to fit and not be baggy then I quite often have camel toe lol. High waisted stuff is better in that respect.

I think the shops don't 'size up' very well at all. My jeans are always falling down or leaving with me builders bum

I got some new pirate leggings the other day. They are a bit see through :( :D
