Detail your latest clothes and slap related purchases here #2

just quoted to get your attention really... Wore the skull dress last night and got lots of compliments - thanks! I found some nice biker boots too.

It's the country show next week and I wouldn't mind a new outfit... have you spotted anything nice recently?

You should charge commission!

Where did you get your biker boots?

I've been buying loads of things recently. Using going back to work after maternity leave and being pretty much back to my pre-pregnancy size (same dress size, just more wobbly) as an excuse. Got two tops with great patterns from M and S. I used to scoff at their clothes for being middle aged but they have some really good patterns at the moment. Also got some boots from there. Can't find them on the website so will have to post pics later. And just ordered a hoodie, coat and two long sleeved tops online. I am ignoring my next credit card bill.

I got them from Next delivery... purely because I find their order/next day delivery thing really easy. I ordered 2 pairs - black biker boots and some gorgeous burnished red boots by a company called "Fly". The latter I really wanted to fit me but they were too narrow for my fat feet.

This is my problem, fat legs. Will have a look, cheers.

They do a dark red version of the swallow dress, it's a really nice colour so I'm tempted...

It's really bloody annoying that there are 5 stores within 5 miles and none of them stock Inspire clothes but at least you can get delivery to store now.

the biker boots are very very loose around the calves (they're calf length - not knee length) - someone had said that on the reviews - so they're great. The red ones (which were also calf length) just made my legs look like badly stuffed sausages and were too narrow on the foot.

I got my New Look dress delivered to the house.

I'm cheap and didn't want to pay delivery.

Ooh, that's handy. Do you know which ones they were? Questions, questions, questions!
; )

Eta, is it these?

Bastards! They're nice Callie. I think I've seen similar on viva la diva on my recent boot search. They might have black.

I've never been on the New Look website before. God it's dangerous. I am not supposed to spend anymore until next pay day. :sits on hands:

Ooh, I like the look of those. The loose around the calf bit sounds good too, I struggle to find boots that I can get my trousers into.

New boots are the consolation prize for the summer being over.

Them's the ones! They're also quite roomy in the foot bit too - to the point where I reckon I could have gotten away with a size smaller.

Oh fab, thanks. I'd spotted them earlier but hadn't looked at the review.

My husband is getting them for my birthday. I think he thought boots were still about 20 quid so he made a bit of a face. : D

oh I hope you like them now.. shoes/boots are hard (well for me anyway)

i am delivered of my haul from the collectif sale.

Dolores%20doll%20feral.JPG
ostentiably a size 12, fits.
cardigan%20polka%20Black.JPG
size 16. a little snug
jo%20cardie%20tiny%20cherries.jpg
(cardie) size 14, fits a little better than the spotty one - much prettier in the flesh: the embroidered cherries are red and bright pink - versatile and bright.
melody%20skirt.jpg
(skirt) size 14 - fits.
Flamingo%20blouse%20back.jpg
(blouse - tie waisted with flamingos on back and shoulders.) size 18 - far too small.

All for less than £100. Honestly, I really love collectif, but their sizing is a JOKE. How can I be a 12 in the dress and yet the size 18 blouse is too small? how can the size 14 cardie be bigger than the size 16? I mean - i know how it happens: small business, cheap manufacture, several suppliers, little quality control... but really?

That is really shoddy of them spangles, they must have some control over the sizing, even if it's just that they have to adjust the labeling? It happens a lot in China when you buy online, it'll say 'label says Medium, but really is large' etc etc.

The flamingo skirt is really gorgeous though!

Glad you're enjoying, gg. I love mine.
I've not been shopping much recently - waiting for wintery stuff :D I'll keep you informed :D

top.jpg jeans.jpg

Top from Next and jeans from M&S bought yesterday.
I was most heartened to see all the autumn colours in the shops yesterday, they're much more my colours than this summer's have been.

No, it's rich aubergine and gorgeous turquoise :p
Plenty of red too.
I love these colours.

I'll have the autumn colours Ruby, and you can have the summer hues.
It's the fact that they're the same every year, since about 5 years ago, and there isn't any choice that depresses me :( Anyway I'm not really buying clothes any more, I'm just making them, so I can have whatever colour I damn well like.

I have just ordered a dress and cardi from new look. I might not keep the cardi but I needed to spend 20 quid to get free store collection. ; )

Dress was a tenner and cardi was 15 quid. It looks like old granny knitwear in that pic but I don't think it is. : D

These are both going back, the dress doesn't sit right, think it's because I have a long body.

The cardi was just not right, and did look a bit grannyish.

Oh well, the money can go in the boot fund. : )
