my dress arrived!! - Love it, would highly recommend them. It's suppose to be a halterneck but I'm going to sew the straps like they are in this pic;

I've got my peticoat underneath but could dress it down with a cardi and leggings for a day time look

You look fantastic. I want many things from that site now
Still, it's a lot cheaper than buying things from many other sites that sell similar stuff.

Gorgeous!!! I have been looking at their frocks for a while. Where does the 'waist' come to? I'm short-waisted, and don't want it too low. Is it nearer to the boobidoos?

No it's a bit lower, that's my own belt I took the ribbon that came with it off.

This curvy dress from Beth Ditto at Evans. Was sulking cos the one I wanted was sold out, but this one's lovelier.

Well. it's arrived, and it's surprisingly flattering, even though it's nothing like I'd normally wear :D And, joy! it has pockets!

I've already emailed the lady who makes the dresses and she can make alterations for individuals for an extra couple of ££ :col:

<whistles> coz I really don't need another dress

reasonable walking heel, chunky but not clumpy, 2.5 - 3" i guess, budget as low as possible but definitely under £50.

eta: these are the ones i want but can't afford (sorry mini pic was that or huuuge one)

Try the Schuh site and check their sales. That's where I get most of my shoes/boots.

Didn't buy this but I made this flower tonight - gonna turn it into a brooch I think. Sorry the pic is not very clear, no flash on phone grrr

They don't look too impractical, they have a nice solid heel - unless you don't usually go for heels. I am currently trying to decide between:

and these

I'm absolutely a flats person :D hence the impracticality. But I lurve them :(
I might go to the shop and try them on, see how they feel to walk around in. Just, you know, to see ... :hmm:

Lovely shoes btw :) The 2nd pair in particular. I love the curve at the back of the wedge.

I am a flats person too. Those are possible wedding shoes. I like the 2nd ones better but the first ones would be more practical for dancing...

Oooh wicked shoes for a wedding! My sister is going to have 2 pairs on her big day - one for the ceremony and pics, and another for the dinner and dancing. Something to consider? :D

my favourite irregular choices atm are these ones

i wonder if i could actually balance on them :hmm: have you tried them r_a? how do they compare? the wedges have a larger heel section i notice. i have a pair the same height/shape as your first ones and they were fine for all day wedding wear/dancing, although i didn't spend as long on my feet as a bride would. 2 pairs sounds like a plan.

I've not tried any on because you can't buy them in Preston, I'd have to go to Manchester and hope they had them in schuh or order them online and send them back if they're wrong. The wedge ones aren't on the official website anymore which hopefully means they'll go into the end of season sale on schuh soon...
