Spain and Belgium favourites with me. Two best teams left in it. Italy, Germany & England are all talented but flawed. All the others are plausible wild cards with the possible exception of Ukraine.

Great thing about the Euros is that there are always a dozen teams you can see winning at the start of it. When it was a 16 team tournament that made for an even more attractive proposition

I’m never a football fan outside big tournaments, but I always get drawn into Euros / World Cups and appreciate the fact that whatever I think I know about the form book, in the big tournaments it seems to be fundamentally an unpredictable kind of game. Partly at least! I’m sure everyone is right that Spain will probably win it, but I‘m enjoying the idea that England could go all the way with some luck and a following wind.
