I was gonna say, never been to the black country but always wanted to try the orange chips. But I've never actually had a reason to visit yam-yamland, and doing it just for the chips alone seems a bit excessive.
 
The vote was very close but am pleased to see vinegar pulling away and now 10% ahead.

It is clear we won, but they stole the vote. And where did these extra votes come from? Dead people! And people who voted illegally!
 
Usually salt first as per my vote. It does not really matter though, as long as the chips are shaken up well.

As for sauce it depends on mood. Chips are always welcome but the condiments can be anything. Brown or ketchup, sweet chilli, mayo, gravy, curry sauce, mustard or whatever.

Last week I had cheesy chips with raw onion and Southern gravy. Was good.

Simple question.

I put vinegar on first as it helps the salt stick to the chips.

I never knew this! I always put salt on first so will try it the other way round. I always put ridiculous amounts of vinegar and salt on my chips. I'm afraid life is too short to compromise on important things like this, in my opinion.
 
The answer no one wants: salt in the vinegar first, then poured on your chips.

In all seriousness my habit is to put the salt on first, even though I know the logical thing (as I have voted) is vinegar for stickage.

Alternatively - salt the chips immediately out of the fry oil for stickage, then vinegar.
