I don't understand why they can't be like long roast potatoes. They can be nice if hot and crispy with some veg.
You just don’t understand chips at all. The nature of them, their unique role in the world.I don't understand why they can't be like long roast potatoes. They can be nice if hot and crispy with some veg.
"Would you like anything on your chiips?"You just don’t understand chips at all. The nature of them, their unique role in the world.
“With some veg” lol.
I was thinking more broccoli, Brussels or fried cabbage. Green veg. Not sure it would work with carrots."Would you like anything on your chiips?"
"Yeah, gimme a few slices of carrot and some swede"
Potatoes are veg, and one of your five a day*.I don't understand why they can't be like long roast potatoes. They can be nice if hot and crispy with some veg.
Fine, and though I technically agree, they are a stodgy, starchy veg that feel like something in-between crisps and potatoes, I'd still prefer them with something green like broccoli or sprouts.Potatoes are veg, and one of your five a day*.
*I know government guidance says otherwise but they're lying.
Have some mushy peas with them then.Fine, and though I technically agree, they are a stodgy, starchy veg that feel like something in-between crisps and potatoes, I'd still prefer them with something green like broccoli or sprouts.
I don't like peas and chips. It doesn't seem like a very appealing combination.Have some mushy peas with them then.
Fine, have some potato scollops with them as well.I donno man, they just seem like filler. A bag of just chips just seems insane.
I agree, it’s not a meal. Just a side dish.I donno man, they just seem like filler. A bag of just chips just seems insane.
And some scraps.Fine, have some potato scollops with them as well.
you haven't been having proper chips then, really good chips barely need salt and vinegar and are a meal all in themselvesI donno man, they just seem like filler. A bag of just chips just seems insane.
Maybe ATOMIC SUPLEX would prefer a battered deep-friend chip barm instead. Some bread as well as chips might be just the thing he needs in his life.you haven't been having proper chips then, really good chips barely need salt and vinegar and are a meal all in themselves
My f-i-l always has his f&c on a proper plate which has been heated in the oven.People who eat chippy chips off a plate at home - why? And how? Do you warm the plate first which is an amount of faff that goes against the whole ethos of a chippy tea, or do you eat cold soggy chips off an unwarmed plate?

When I used to buy whole fish and cut it's head off, I used to amuse myself by moving the fish's jaws to make it 'talk'. Sadly I wasn't a very good ventriloquist.the one on the right's like a chipship pac man
that's ok, fish aren't great conversationalists anywayWhen I used to buy whole fish and cut it's head off, I used to amuse myself by moving the fish's jaws to make it 'talk'. Sadly I wasn't a very good ventriloquist.
I don't have salt and vinegar on chips. I have eaten plenty of chips in the past. I've been around for quite a long time and lived in lots of different places and eaten chips a lot. I haven't 'really' enjoyed chips all that much and don't really dig potato products in general (though I don't hate).you haven't been having proper chips then, really good chips barely need salt and vinegar and are a meal all in themselves
Obviously looks rank. Are you saying this looks like a tasty treat? It's all starch.Maybe ATOMIC SUPLEX would prefer a battered deep-friend chip barm instead. Some bread as well as chips might be just the thing he needs in his life.
Don't be daft, there's plenty of fat in it too.Obviously looks rank. Are you saying this looks like a tasty treat? It's all starch.
Have you thought about seeing a doctor about this problem?I have eaten plenty of chips in the past. I've been around for quite a long time and lived in lots of different places and eaten chips a lot.
