What goes on first?

Did everyone know that this is a thing that people apparently do?
Salt, vinegar, or ice cream first?

My sister and I were doing that in the 80's, it's lush :)
Also see Maccy D fries dipped in a Maccy D chocolate milkshake * drools *

I await the abuse

ETA: It only really works with thinner crispier chips, I don't think chippy chips would work so well but I would be willing to give it a go.

Which ever condiment container is within easiest reach so sometimes salt and sometimes vinegar first. Always vinegar before curry though since otherwise the vinegar will dissolve the curry sauce.

People who eat chippy chips off a plate at home - why? And how? Do you warm the plate first which is an amount of faff that goes against the whole ethos of a chippy tea, or do you eat cold soggy chips off an unwarmed plate?

Oh that's easy. I don't really like chips.
Uk ones are all stodgy, french fries are horrible, oven chips no.
Maybe there is a chip for me out there somewhere, but so far I'm not keen.

Not keen on crisps, burgers or pizza either if that helps.
I'll cook some for you. You'll be a chip convert.
But you're right, most are shite.
