tbf, the pubs all have a load of extra expenses and way less capacity than they did a few months ago. I wouldn't be surprised to see pub prices going up, even with this tax cut

I love how he preceded the pathetic vouchers with words to the effect of "nothing like this has ever been tried by any government before", and I was thinking something massive like negative VAT or free shopping for everyone.

booze is taxed once as booze, and again as food isn't it? it's in the lists for vat-able foodstuffs anyway, so I'd assume it's included.

IIRC, it's for 2/3rd of costs up to £5k, or 100% for low income households up to £10k.

I'm a zero earner at the moment and I have windows that I literally can't open because they'll fall off the house if I do (well, only one like that but a few broken seals and siezed locks). What's not clear is whether I can get new double glazing, my rubbish windows are already double glazed.
