I'm not keen on Hardcastle's remixes, but you have had another good day I see. Stop bloody showing off!

Speaking of Hardcastle, are you aware of his plans to release a 25th anniversary mix of '19' very soon?

i hadn't. will be interested to hear - you always take a risk with paul, mind - so much of his stuff is bollocks.

the d-train twelve has the kervorkian mix on the flip anyway, so no worries...

check out evelyn champagne king - it's ... :D

today-

orbital - impact remix ep
808 state - let yourself go (their first single i think?)
south street players - who keeps changing your mind?
speedy j - pepper

and a few other proggy house/techno things.

Good find!

Plain red sleeve, polar bears on the label, and The Carpenters sample?

I bought that when it came out, and still play it now and again. Prefer the 303 mix rather than the D50. The way those Love Unlimited strings whistle in and out, like a stormy night. Quality.

manic street preachers - tsunami (stereolab/cornelius remixes)
the three degrees - starlight (moroder produced disco shizzle)
cop shoot cop - ten dollar bill
super_collider - it won't be long

quid each?

james last - voodoo party
james last - non-stop dancing 14

yep. digging through all those boxes of last albums finally pays off.

also, grace jones - i'm not perfect.

Not sure if I have mentioned this already, but I bought a VHS copy of Grosse Point Blank at a boot fair in Norwich (and I live in Kent - I dont *do* the boot fair thing, but we were with family).

Anyway it cost me £1.

When I got home and opened it, it had about 100 compliment slips from the Hilton in Manhattan - the one that got raized to the ground in 9/11.

So, awesome film for £1 and a load of mementoes from that time.

That one's got a couple of Sly & The Family Stone covers on it, hasn't it? :hmm:

(-Sadly, no Silver Machine though, eh... ;))
got non-stop dancing 14 at the same time, which has silver machine on. both in the same box.

voodoo party is brilliant. essentially a psych-soul album... i wonder what else he's done that's ace? problem is, there's so much shite to sift through...

When I was about 12 I turned up at a party with one of the non-stop dancing albums. All the older, cool kids laughed and sneered at me :( Now I realise I was just ahead of my time :D

Ahh, you got it, nice one! That it starts off with a Hawkwind/T-Rex/Alice Cooper medley is just... bizarre.

That track on Voodoo Party is very silly, isn't it... :D

Hair (1969) is the only other album I've got by him, and it's actually rather decent throughout (-and like the original Hair soundtrack, there are some breaks therein). I think Well Kept Secret is another sought after one, for the tracks and Bolero '75.

Probably really awful, but still, Non-Stop Dancing '82 has apparently got versions of Superfreak and ...er... Ghost Town on it! :hmm::D

Ultimately though, these are just the few better ones in amongst so very much utter cheese.

Let us end though, on a ... :D

'hair' was in the box too. if the same guy's back on tuesday i'll pick it up.

i'd like to find a definitive list of the great songs - unfortunately all the people posting positive comments about him on the internet seem to be middle aged latvians who still live with their mums. :(

heard the 'beach party' albums might be worth a look too?

This will always be the best Last thing ever. :D:cool:

I'm still itching to play my copy out somewhere, in amongst a set of seventies rock heaviness. :D
