As an aside: I’m fucking sick of seeing workers from all corners of the globe coming here for a better life only to end up being exploited to fuck once they arrive but be told they’re lucky to be offered 12 hour a day back breaking work.

Free markets cannot withstand actual freedom. They require enforced participation, and a state to do the enforcement.

No, but now the UK has effectively said that it doesn't want to work with Europe on common immigration policy (preferring to go it alone), there's little surprise in the French effectively telling us to police our own borders. Why would/should they do us any favours? I'm sure that the monied the UK pays (in it's own interests) doesn't defray the whole cost of the policing operation to prevent these crossings.

we are all being exploited. at which point, precisely, does being exploited to fuck begin? sounds like you're talking solely about people trafficked into the sex industry.
