Border Farce

It's all 'dog whistle' stuff. On the face of it, the idea that people should be discouraged from risking their lives, breaking the law, and enriching organised criminals, to leave a safe country (France) isn't necessarily racist. But you know that it's usually the racists that choose to focus on that issue, when there are so many much bigger issues. And that their proposed solution to the 'problem' is more often than not hateful. In short, fuck off Bollox.

In what sense?
In the sense that they are trolling with such deliberately divisive, bigoted views, there seems little need to speculate about matters apparently irrelevant to those. Personal view, and all that.

All those rubber dingies that are piling up at Dover - either sell 'em off and use the money to help fund further rescues (as we are never going to stop the problem - streets paved with gold syndrome plus refugees of all kinds) or donate them to organisations like sea cadets, sailing clubs and fishing lakes or individual boat owners in the Northern half of the country.

Still don't understand?

You wouldn't make the comment about him being interested in fit young women would you, because that wouldn't be an insult. You were basically saying "ooh you said something that might reveal that you're a homo lol" because that would be funny. Well, that's how it came across to me.

........is it time to re-title them as Migrant Rescue Service?
Not much in the way of of masks or social distancing going on, are these economic migrants made to quarantine when being delivered here? and if so then in what manner?, remaining in the groups they were delivered in or humped into one big virus incubating throng?
Answers to these questions are difficult to obtain, for some reason the government don't make this sort of information readily available to the people financing this service (you and me)
Here’s the thing...

Fuck off.

The French govt have already been paid £100million to prevent these crossings already (which they are failing to enact) and now want a further £30million. Seems like extortion using vulnerable immigrants as pawns.
Funny how things can "seem" if you take a very selective view of the issues... :hmm:

Your solution to this issue - which could turn to a deadly issue - is to simply flog off these dinghies once they land?

That level of absolute delusion would be music to the criminals ears who are facilitating these crossings by punting people off into the North Sea once they’ve pocketed their cash.

TBF, I do think that our government is doing sterling work (rampant Covid-19, corruption, economic collapse, fucking Brexit) to make this country an unpleasant place to live. They're obviously playing the long game, and when they've thereby successfully stopped the tsunami of economic migrants coming here in their rubber boats for our bountiful benefits and free houses, we'll all be very grateful to them.

Did you really want to know if the poster was interested in fit young men?
I assumed that the profile of the refugee mattered. Men typically fit the 'job stealing' or 'terrorist/criminal' demographic which a bigot might despise.

I find it interesting that you know what £100m looks like when it's being used by the french govt to protect the border and you know for a fact that we aren't getting value for money. You must be an expert in these things, yes?

I took Badgers' post to be picking up on Bollox's bollox suggesting that all of the refugees were "fit young men". We know they're not, and we know why Bollocks wants to pretend that it's all about the (perceived) least-risk refugee group, but focusing on his apparent interest in the fitness and sex of these people is a good way to point up the idiocy of what he's claiming. Given that there's rarely any point having a sensible discussion with cunts like these: let's face it, the twat registered here with a username that hardly suggests he signed up in particularly good faith, he made a few efforts to try and blend in, and then - bosh - just as always, controversially-named New Member suddenly raises its skirts and reveals its cuntitude.

You made an obvious homophobic remark ffs.

Yes, by taking back control of the borders people mean France must take control of the borders.
Innit. The whole thing of leaving the EU was largely predicated (for many) on the idea that we wouldn't work with European partners on joint border control. That's exactly what's happening - France leaving it to the UK to police who can get into the UK. Yet those same people want/expect France to do it for us!

UK already has a bilateral arrangement with France, obviously it is a matter for the EU, but from what I can work out there must be some pressure to relook at Dublin agreement (and some pressure not to) Greece, Italy France will have a very different take on what to do about/with the people who turn up on their shores in a dinghy to say Finland for example. Might have something to do with sea temperature, who knows

Yeah, good point - France should be encouraging black market people smuggling trade of punting people into rubber dinghy’s from their shores as they will reap taxes off the back of it of course
