You can also make a very very similar sausage gravy - sausage meat (or squeezed out sausages) and follow pretty much the same idea - once again, Google is your friend

I don’t think it focus tests well even in the US outside of the South, to be fair. Plus, you see what happens on these threads: “biscuits and meat? Biscuits?”. It would be an uphill struggle. Even pizza had to be called “pizza pie” at first. (See also “avocado pears”).

Apparently it's not really a porn emporium, it's a gas station that sells hot biscuits etc. - which seems to be the staple diet in North Carolina - and it got the nickname because it had a shelf selling a few adult magazines.
