Bastardbury - the Tory Festival

Although the headlines belies the meat of the idea- its is just a publicised brainstorming session for tories- It is not a huge stretch of the imagination to suggest that there is mileage in a larger public festival for this section - bedgebury in kent has live gigs each summer that are attended by the prime audience for a toryfest.

An intervention with Kate bush might be more use . Get her out of the clutches of this cult she seems to have fallen in with .

" we love you Kate..but.."

Nationalism. "Oh England, my lionheart..."
Misogyny. "Heathcliffe...let me in your window."
Religion. "...make a deal with God, get him to swap places.."

All there, plain to see.

and she's from Eltham. Nuff said.

Never had Morrissey down as a Tory party supporter - he's always been really vocal against the tories hasn't he?

Gary Numan however.... he's a full on Tory cunt!!

The lyrics to 'Margaret on the Guillotine' seems fairly clear to me.

Some on the left misunderstand his pro working class, anti elite, anti all institutions views as 'Tory'.

Gary Numan a Tory? Certainly news to me, and not something I'd believe without evidence.

10 years of openly supporting thatcher. Not something that easy to miss as it's brought up every time he's mentioned anywhere.

He does bleat that his support of Thatcher is something he regrets and had weighed him down ever since. Whether is is guilt because of his opinions at that time or because he gets shit for it still and made him come across as a plonker, it is not clear

Yeah, I know that now. Just sucks a bit when a musician whose work you like turns out to be off. Like when I first listened to one of Fear Factory's then-new albums and one of the songs had lyrics about 9/11 Truther nonsense.
