Why not "support" him? Because he doesn't seem very keen on answering his rape charges. Despite presumed innocence, his behaviour doesn't look like that of a man with a clear conscience.

And yet on August 18th 2010, he applied for a residency permit in Sweden, a country with an extradition agreement with the US. It didn't seem to trouble him then.

I don't understand the 'scared of extradition from Sweden to US' argument. The UK surely is far more likely to extradite him to the US? We have an extremely pro-US extradition system. What's the rationale behind this argument, have I missed something?
