Aristocrat's daughter on the run with sex offender and newborn

But 200 police and a nationwide appeal to phone the police if you think you may have spotted them is that the same thing as social services involvement?
I think this is why there is so much speculation, something doesn't quite add up just as in didn't a couple of weeks ago whe I first saw it

That only came out in the last couple of days as far as I know.

Can national news websites target stories based on your location? I am in the North West and as it was near Bolton could that be why I saw a lot of it?

Yes, the joy of cookies and location services.

To what extent though? I think that’s why I find the story so curious. She hasn’t got the freedom to choose to not register the birth without falling on the wrong side of the law, I get that and I get why. But what else? She also must not be of no fixed abode, must not avoid cctv, refuse medical attention ? It can’t be that so what is it exactly that’s causing an appeal to the nation to report sightings (I know we don’t know the answer).
Most probably because a local authority and the police will be shit scared of ending up in a serious case review or a public enquiry if something happens to the bairn. They've clearly got reason to be trying to find them and it's not missing the registration of the birth of the child. They may have even tried to register the child, you just don't know and at the moment I suspect the police will trying to stop the media going all OJ with helicopters and Tom with the Weather.

It's all a bit sad really and like others have said you have to fear that something might be amiss.

Perhaps they've been flagged for watching Ed Sheeran videos on YouTube?

Is it that they think that al dente pasta tastes like the ring at the bottom of a condom?

Milk first, then tea?

What do you think are the normal reasons that police and social services would mobilise in a nationwide hunt for people with a newborn baby?

Think about what those those reasons might be, and you'll probably be right...

They presumably think the baby is at extreme risk. I don't know why this is difficult to understand.
I'm probably just being weird. The police obvs know stuff we don't, the appeal to the public to report sightings might be helped if they gave a clue though as to what it is actually about, which they have not.

I'm in the northwest and I didn't know about it until Part 2 reported it on the Urban evening news.

But even the fairly scant info we have raises a very good prima facie case for 'let's find these people'.

If a crime has potentially occurred they wont want to jeopardise a future criminal investigation or trial by publishing things associated with the case. Even I know this and I rarely watch Silent Witness and Line of Duty stuff.

Any way kebabking I can see your post and opinions. Whilst I may not agree with every single point I do truly respect your views and your right to post them. One thing that did occur to me was , were any of your views in any way altered by alcohol or mind altering drugs. The fact that you might be under the influence of such does not necessarily negate your opinions but rather may give me insight to the thought processes that you employ.

Surely Kebab this is a more sophisticated way of ascertaining a fellow posters state of mind than

are you on crack

are there any limits to your windbaggery?

It's kind of interesting that whatever is going on is only possible because of their bag full of cash money (for taxis and hotels etc) cash not cards not apps.

Now this truly made me laugh out loud. I am still laughing so much that I can barely type. I thank you from the bottom of my heart because every time I have a good old belly laugh that shakes my whole body I have been led to believe that it is a good as a vitamin pill
Thank you

Yep. Just as effective as a vitamin pill.

We don’t need to know any of that though, we just need to look out for them and report if we see them. We don’t have the right to any more information than that and it’s not in the public interest.

I think you/we just need to accept there’s probably a very good reason why they’re looking so hard for them. It’s really hard to get a court order to remove a child, it’s not done lightly and without good cause. If there is a court order, I’d imagine so but who knows.

I suspect the information about the partner’s conviction was released because people are suspicious of social services intervention so wouldn’t ‘shop’ them. They hadn’t confirmed that initially.
Then, they asked the father to appeal to see if that might work.
The police are controlling the flow of information on a ‘need to know’ basis because this family have a right to privacy.

Some of the reactions on here are er... odd. I mean I am very prone to being sympathetic. But we know they abandoned a burning car, with a newborn, which they didn't register. I think I'd be prepared to say 'yeah, go all out on finding them, then work out what happened' just based on that. I'm sure there are many similar cases that go under the radar, but er... They probably shouldn't.

It's got nothing to do with being sympathetic or not, safeguarding is about an objective assessment of safety, which is why it's so hard to achieve consistently.

I don't think they really can though, without compromising the privacy of the other children or causing more speculation. Social services never put forward their case publicly.

I mean I'm inclined to be generous <e2a: to the subjects I mean> in interpreting fact patterns given out by media.

That is surprising, so my laughter is much more effective than a vitamin pill. I should have known that when a big boy told me that laughter was the best medicine he was giving me sound advice. my doc has me on 300ml of thiamine a day which is only vitamin B but after reading the link you posted I have decided to give up the drugs and read the OU joke thread instead

I think maybe you've got this the wrong way round - the police aren't after them because they've failed to register the birth, avoided CCTV and refused medical attention.
They failed to register the birth, are avoiding CCTV and have refused medical attention to avoid the police/social services/courts.

The gory details of why the baby is at risk isn't going to be made public.

Tread carefully Archy, kebabking is a recovering chocaholic and a tea total internet black belt in feng shui. Have your fun with Pickman's model but don't enter that dragon.

Before you ask. A small glass of port and some mouldy cheese.
