Where are Anti-Fa. Most refuse to go round here because there are anti- fa units in the IDF FFS.

My other half, who wore his kippah throughout reports nothing but friendliness and messaged me this:
There was a big Jewish contingent standing just before the bridge. Maybe 100 people standing together. They got some cheers as people walked past. It's been like that every time tbf. The idea that these marches are anti-Jewish is only held by people who've gone nowhere near them.

Always easy to be cynical about big a-b marches, especially looking back at the Iraq War and Austerity ones (or the Remain ones even) but it's still something to have one on this scale. Maybe it scares a few MPs into shifting their position, or helps building up a wider net of solidarity but at the very least it shows the million or so there and the millions more supporting them that there are plenty of people of good will here on Normal Island. Which is good.

If the coppers are conceding 300,000, I'm going to go for a round 1 million.

I left around half four and people were still streaming across the bridge as it got dark. I suspect those at the back never made it to the end.

Saw someone say the Mail were grudgingly saying near a million, normally I guess somewhere between police and organiser estimates but if the Mail are saying that then I'm saying 10 million, easily.

Really wish I could've been there.

Mrs Q and I are in London over the weekend but not attending the Hate March no.
From a purely selfish point of view I would have preferred this, the Armstice ceremony and the tube upgrade to be cancelled but alas this did not happen so we will have to see if any of it gets under our feet.
London is a big place after all.
I will report back on Monday when we get home as to what we see and how it affects us.

The Q's have arrived at St Pancras and caught the tube to our hotel
Not seen protesters, counter-protesters or even any Plod

"Thousands of people are protesting against a literal genocide but I won't let it spoil my holiday, lol."

Weird post. I assume most "antifa" are either just monitoring the situation with the far-right or taking part in the march like anyone else. Do you have a link or any kind of evidence showing that any antifa groups are refusing to support the march because of Hapoel Ultras? I know there's been a bit of division among St Pauli fans in Germany over it, but I don't think there's any split in the UK scene over the issue.

Got out at Bond Street tube shortly after midday thinking we'd walk along Oxford Street to join the march and found that we were already in the middle of it :D Very large, politically diverse, very good natured. I didn't see any bother and the police were keeping a low profile. As someone already said it was a million person shuffle from Park Lane onwards - not dangerously overcrowded but very slow moving at times. The resulting short steps were murder on my legs, and my companion was also feeling his age, so we bailed at Victoria Station. (As did quite a few others - there were people from the march on all the trains back to Aldgate).

You did your bit. You missed the worst of it, which was crossing the bridge, so probably a wise move.

This is another reason why I reckon a million plus easy. If you're only counting the people who made it all the way, you're missing a lot of people.

That idiot Piers Corbyn managed to get on the mic by Vauxhall Bridge and was spouting the usual loonery. No one seemed impressed.

Lots of chanting in the part of the demo we were in. All of it was taken up by other marchers, with one exception. Someone with a loud hailer tried out "Fuck Suella Braverman". This got no takers at all. Funny that :D

It got modified to "Sack Suella Braverman" which was a little more popular.
