Album Recommendations 2018

There's a new Bongripper album out and it's really heavy.

I really like that, except ... I want the band's name to be about giving handjobs to AC/DC's first singer, and I'm annoyed that really I know it's probably just a tedious marijuana reference.

I think with stoner doom the weed references are all just part of the aesthetic, and are not very serious.

I was listening to Mammoth Weed Wizard Bastard earlier. They're great too.

Smith & Mighty - Ashley Road Sessions 88-94

Excellent album of unreleased tracks from the Bristol dub/house/breakbeat pioneers.

I can't find anything on Slsk or Youtube to sample it directly, but Japanese noise-niks DMBQ have a new one out today with decent write-ups.

I'm on my first listen of this, and it's rather fantastic. Keeenly, with a triple e, is the name of the album, if you're looking for it.

Just trawling the thread in advance of Belboid opening the book, and I realised I trailed Pigs x7's King of Cowards in advance but didn't post after it was released:

They haven't exactly mellowed out yet.

Great album. Loads of great moments but 'A66' is fucking brilliant. 'GNT' too. Really want to see them live before they start playing big venues. Only a matter of time, I would've thought.

Bass player's crisp reviews on Twitter are worthy, too.
