90s techno thread

Maybe it was to do with when I first heard it - in a dark woodland of my tits on mdma and liquid acid, seemed appropriate and so seems to have imprinted itself.

voodoo child - desperate

i guess it's verging on hard trance, but billy nasty played it down voodoo once, so that's good enough for me...

techno + diva :D dj flert used to open with this at zero gravity/far side parties for a bit.

this is the one i meant earlier, not nocturbulous behaviour. it's giving me goosebumps hearing this again. heavEEE

oh alright this is acid, i suppose. but i had to stick in here, as it's friday night, and this is a very exciting tune. the sheer power of 2 notes.

shame i can't seem to find a youtube for a track by teknotika called tiger trance, from 1993. really good shit, lumbering and powerful and moody... :hmm:

i love that speedy j album. when i first started going out 'having it large' in 93, that was my comedown music when i got home. on ginger vinyl natch.

fond memories. :)

that's in germany though flutterbye. they never stopped loving techno there...

Aye thats true, but there are still outposts like atomic jam in birmingham and the sub club in glasgow. Its just not got mass appeal in the UK, but its always been there.

its shocking how many wicked choons he churned out, ursa major7 on the flip of that is also a proper class bit o techno

innit. how good is this?

oh how curious, that was the next one i was going to post. sounds particularly fab over a pumping sound system at 3am. obv i got these when they came out - blummin missed essit musique tho

e2a:

that one reminds me a bit of early 80s cabaret voltaire.

First heard this on Colin Faver's Kiss FM show, remember that? All this thread proves is that techno is a pretty loose concept :)
