OMG, a British blue! I always call them the Frank Lampard cats because his face reminds me of one for some reason.
They've had a very traumatic 24 hours what with the long journey and a new home but I'm sure they'll settle in after a few days and having two together definitely helps. I assume you're putting the food somewhere where they can get to it without breaking cover? Thanks, I am starting to get a bit concerned that they haven't eaten a thing since we left J's home with them at about 6pm last night, they have several plates of different wet foods dotted around the bedroom.
I managed to stroke Anakin's little face and head and offered him some of the treats that J gave me yesterday but he looked at me as if I was mad and didn't take them. I have left a few little piles of treats under the curtains. They are both under the curtains.
It's a long time for kittens to go without eating anything. Off out shortly to Pets@Home and Lidl - to pick up dry babycat food, other types of treats (lick-e-lix, treat sticks, dreamies) chicken to cook for them and some beef mince to offer raw (not offering raw chicken due to avian flu as cats may be susceptible but will try some red meat). Have been assured that they eat everything, just as it's Sunday I need to lay in some supplies today and offer a bit of everything then I think just leave them to it in the bedroom with lots of bowls of different food and treats today.

When I was doing rescue work I would sometimes have feral kittens in the spare bedroom and I'd have to push their food, and even their litter tray right under the bed as they'd be too scared to come out. At least your two would have been handled from an early age and wouldn't have any fear of humans so it's probably more a case of new home-itis.
I can't wait to see some pictures of them!
it is usually good for cats to see humans asleep because it is a massive signal that it is a safe place and that no-one has anything to fear.
I hope so, I've just put some warm poached chicken under the bed where they are both now huddled and they backed away from itand one day you'll wake up with a cat on your head...
Thanks, I am sure it will be OK, first day in a new home, they'll eat something at some point I am telling myself that.Am giving big possible vibes x please nibble on something
They'll eat it. They're just doing the nervous thing at the moment. They're probably waiting to eat something you don't want them to eatPlease please eat it, come on boys! Once I know they've got some food in them I'll be a lot happier. They can live under the bed for as long as they want, but they can't go without food.

Have you tried tinned tuna or pilchards? I often find that works if I get a cat in the cattery that doesn't want to eat after day one. Thanks, I am sure it will be OK, first day in a new home, they'll eat something at some point I am telling myself that.
A couple of little piles of treats have disappeared so something has been consumed.
I'd forgotten how nerve-wracking having new cats can be
We are trying to leave them to their own devices as much as possible.
They are unbelievably cute, they were under the bed cuddled up together when I went in there to bring them chicken, 2 little pointy faces staring at me wide-eyed when I looked under the bed to check where best to put the plate of chicken for ease of access.

Releived that they have had some grub. Am sure am not the only one on here that was feeling your tension at them not eating.
I did look at those in Pets@Home on Friday and they had several different types that claimed to be for different situations and there were different dispersal methods - urgh, back in the day it was just one type of Feliway Diffuser - I was completely boggled by the choice and ended up not getting one. When Carrie was new I got a Feliway diffuser and I'm sure it helped, along with all of the behavioural stuff.

I love that you are basically building forts for them
That's cute!
