World Cup betting tips

The stats look good for a bet on over 2.5 goals in the England game.

8/10 of Englands last 10 games have produced 3 or more goals.

Not sure about the USA's last 10 but the last two they played were over 2.5 goals, and they play with 3 forwards, worth a few quid at 11/10, arguably it should be 10/11.

The 11/10 bet is at betfair BTW doubt the odds will be as good at regular bookies.

William Hill are giving 11/4 on a penalty being given

Thats generous looking at Nigeria's tackling, Argentina's ability to make the most of a lunging leg, and the fact that now Korea have won, a draw is no good to either

Ghana are bout 4/1 on Betfair right now (had a cheeky couple of quid on it!)

Also stuck £2.50 on Slovenia to win after the Algerian red card and got 2/1 for it

at what price?

4/1.

I don't bet much (my bro and dad are compulsive gamblers and I don't have the nerve for £1k bets) and when I do it's £5-10. That way, won't lose sleep...

Okay 50 squid up mainly cos of this and Koreas win yesterday.
Would had been more if England won last night...Green you cunt

Any tips on the next match?

Germany vs Australia.

William Hill has Australia to win 1-0 at 10/1!!
Worth a fiver?

australia are too poor and i can't see the potential for upset here.
any good odds?
william hill has evens on germany only scoring...so that's worth a fiver i guess.
any other suggestions?

i now wish I'd followed by instinct of backing both Germany to win with Klose scoring and same with Podolski. Oh well, wasnt great value

I bet small anyways, aiming for £500 profit when this WC finishes. £60 in 3 days so far.

Any tips for Japan vs Cameroon?

i can't see japan getting anything out of this, 3-0 cameroon maybe?

Japan aren't that bad, Cameroon aren't that good. I see an open game with goals in this one.

Over 2.5 goals @ 2.37 looks the safest bet to me on this match.

japan are tidy but have scoring issues, as usual a lot depends on eto'o for cameroon. good call though on +2.5 goals, sounds good.

i wouldn't be surprised if denmark got a draw against holland.

Unless you're dutching, correct score and goalscorer bets are an absolute waste of time, they're a bookies wet dream and they'll happily take bets of any size off you all day long.

Overs/unders markets can be very profitable, especially if you're trading on betfair.

Until the first round of games are over and there's more at stake, there just isn't really any value. Save your money for the later rounds if you want to have a real profitable tournament.

Well said. Now I know!

After getting my winnings to £60.
I'm evens again. Terrible WC so far.

I've just broken even after two bets.

First was a losing (S Korea, Argentina, England) accy on Saturday...thanks England

Second was in-play during the last game (Brazil- N Korea), backed over 2.5 goals @ evens when it was 0-0 after 20 mins. They made me sweat for it the bastards. :D

Even the +1 goal market has been shite this tournament with the lack of goals.

There should be some great opportunities coming up in the next set of matches however. I'm already eyeing up a few and will post them on here before kick-off. ;)
