Windrush Square used by We Train commercial personal trainer company

I heard someone shouting out instructions in Windrush Square yesterday and looked around to see that a private personal trainer company had taken over the space under the tree for a commercial workout session. They'd also erected advertising for their venture called WeTrain.

I can't say I liked having this public space being taken over in this manner. Given that they describe these things as 'flashmobs' and 'pop ups' it would seem that they're not paying for the space either.

It's excercise. They and other trainers do it in Brockwell Park etc too- no big deal. Great to see people excercising and reminds me I ought to (I am currently eating cake round the corner from the square)
I'm all for exercise, and if this was for free, I'd have no problem with people using the space. But this is a private enterprise using a small public space for commercial gain and using the square as their advertising space. Not so keen.

Holmewood gardens then, that's a better example. And there if they are stretching on the bench there is nowhere to sit- this lot aren't even taking up seating space
They're hogging the prime space under the tree where people often sit and relax. Are you OK with their advertising banner going up too?

dont take it then, it's up to you.I aint the one whos annoyed about other people exercising in a square I think I own.
I've made no claim to 'own' the square. I have, however, stated that it is a public space, where private commercial companies usually have to pay to make use of it or advertise on. And with that my patience with your disruptive and tedious trolling and attempts at misrepresentation has been exhausted.

Not sure how it's different to vans on the public highway with adverts on the side conducting commercial operations.

the bye-laws clearly state:

and i would say the advertising is offering to provide a service.
