Where are you on the transport network?

Disembarked here earlier today, Beauly station.

It has the shortest platform in the UK at 15m long so there is only one door on the train that opens.

In the distance you can see the remains of the platform from the original station which closed in the 60s.

This is the closest railway station to where I grew up, but it didn't exist when I l lived there. It (re) opened in 2002. Today was the first time I've used the it.

Whereas it's always interesting to see any kind of plane on display in a public area, interesting choice of location. Unless there is an aircraft factory or an air base right next to the station?

Since 2013, the Su-22 nb 3306 aircraft has been stationed as a teaching aid in Sosnowiec, on the premises of the school complex (Technical and Secondary School Complex in Sosnowiec), at Jana Kilińskiego Street. Since September 2013, it has been used as a teaching aid in the profession of aircraft mechanic technician. The Complex of Technical and Secondary Schools from Sosnowiec has been providing education in the profession of aircraft mechanic technician since 2006. The plane was transported to Sosnowiec from Mirosławiec. The plane is clearly visible from Platform 2 at the Sosnowiec Główny station.

* - what's under the floor is post-1945, the body is the 1939 prototype. If you know RT 1 I don't need to explain, if you don't you probably don't want to know...

I'm currently sat at kings cross waiting for a train to Hull (not sure why god hates me so much). I wanted a quick pint but all the nearest options are wanky wait to be seated places. Ended up sitting outside somewhere having a warm German beer otherwise I'd have to wait for a chair. I only want a quick pint FFS!

Let’s face it, no matter how well redeveloped, train stations, and very often pubs in their immediate vicinity, are not places where one can expect a cheap pint or a pub you’d want to frequent, meet other people socially, or have more than one drink.

Over the road in St Pan is a Spoons for all your pre train cheeky pint needs. Around £3.50.

There's a few decent places not too far from Kings Cross, I usually favour McGlynns (currently closed :() or the Dolphin. It was pissing down and work were paying, so the Parcel Yard was acceptable on this occasion :D
