You think thats expensive; I have a sleeper booked to Aberdeen from London in a few weeks

I do the Caledonian sleeper a fair bit but I usually just get a seat if I'm on my own. Usually about £36 with my railcard if I book in advance.

As a passenger I’d rather have goatses than goats on the runway, since I wouldn’t be able to see the former anyway. If I were the pilot though I might take my chances with the former even if it means death.

Perhaps they were taking the piss, but the first time I went on the London Eye shortly after it'd opened, the steward on the cabin said they would be asked from time to time whether that structure that could be seen in the distance might be the Eiffel Tower.

Just saw a post on a travel board from a US visitor praising TFL for keeping "a whole fleet of heritage trains" running on the Piccadilly line.

He was promptly directed to go-FO to the the Bakerloo Line!

I love that old bit of Krakow Glowny and yes, the modern bit did need a bit of a makeover, but..... like too many refurbished main stations, it's now a shopping mall with a few tracks in the basement.

I hadn't been there before last week but that bit where the station meets the shopping mall is definitely one of the circles of hell. I wonder how many people miss their trains every year because they've got lost and can't find their way out to the platform.
