Where are you on the transport network?

the people who look after it now call it 'historic croydon airport'

and until fairly recently, buses have shown 'Croydon Airport' on the front (it's now 'collonades')

what's the difference between an aerodrome and an airport anyway?
My god, you mean teuchter was right? I'll need to run away to the Foreign Legion now...

As referred to earlier, it is now a museum.
An airport is an aerodrome but with a little bit more.
"An airport is an aerodrome with extended facilities, mostly for commercial air transport. Airports usually consist of a landing area, which comprises an aerially accessible open space including at least one operationally active surface such as a runway for a plane to take off and to land or a helipad, and often includes adjacent utility buildings such as control towers, hangars and terminals, to maintain and monitor aircraft. Larger airports may have airport aprons, taxiway bridges, air traffic control centres, passenger facilities such as restaurants and lounges, and emergency services. In some countries, the US in particular, airports also typically have one or more fixed-base operators, serving general aviation."

As an aside, I'm sad to see that TGI:s next door still exists. To call it a pigsty is doing a disservice to pigs. It's a filthy hole. Never been near TGI's ever again.

Was there in 2013 when Frau Bahn was 2 weeks too long preggers to fly, cos shit travel agent. Didn’t use any lounges, but did borrow a coat from her larger mum for her to wear as we checked in and she faced away from the desk, pretending to admire the architecture….

We then went to that outside terrace, which was lovely and something you only seem to see at Spanish airports, they are cool as.

Hope you had a lovely break.
