What's your favourite working class sandwich??

Cheese + tom for me. Flabby cheddar of course.

Cheese, corned beef and tomato from a Breville sandwich toaster, with HP sauce to dip it in. Crispy on the outside (cos of all the fat in the corned beef), hotter than a thousand suns on the inside. A useful tip is to bite off both corners and blow through it, creating a satisfying plume of superheated sandwich steam.

Corned beef (with tomato if pushing the boat out) or just cheese on nappy white bread.

Where is cheese & onion or the glorious cheese & beetroot? I would struggle to choose between those but I voted for cheese & cucumber.

I often make a melted cheese toastie topped with beetroot...:)

Tinned corned beef

My missus just can't understand my love for this.

I don't think they really have it in New Zealand (other than for pet food) so she finds my Mighty-White-adorned-with-too-much-butter*-with-some-slabs-of-corned-beef concoction utterly repulsive.

* I am not actually working class and even if I were, I would have have sucked old man cock in public conveniences in order to fund my butter if that is what it took. Margarine is fucking dead-dog-pus and should be banned.

Just to clarify, my vote is for dripping and marmite. They complement each other perfectly. Especially on toast.

Option for cheese, option for ham, no option for cheese & ham?

Is cheese & ham a bit too middle class?

Actually, all the suggested sandwiches are middle class. There are none of those sinister pastes that come in little jars and are unknown in classes A through C1. There isn't even an option for hundreds and thousands.

There don't appear to be any hot sandwich options - no sossage, no bacon, and what's it called when you go down the chippy and get them to put all the crispy bits of batter from the bottom of the fish tray in a bun?

Poll fail

As any working class child or adult knows, the first poll choice should have been 'jam (not conserve) sandwich on white bread with margerine', although your 'dripping' option does go some way to redeeming the poll.
