What's Your Current View?

There has been much fluster and upset in the township, not so much about the flooding itself, as the damage that gets done when people roar through the floods creating great huge bow waves that then overtop defences. So people are being quite assertive about standing around and calling drivers out if they're going too fast. And we have some "ARAF SLOW" signs now, too.

Slightly historic current view as this one's almost a week old but I thought some of you might find it interesting...

This is how your Marlborough sav gets from the vineyard to the winery. 10 tonne liquid loads. 13 hr night shifts, sometimes up to 400kms a shift. I also had a minor boo boo when I didn't lock the tailgate after the boss mithered me with 7 phone calls in the space of an hour, and dropped 5 tonne ($10K NZD) of berries on the vineyard floor. Oops.

That's lovely, gardens with a bit of a slope can be tricky but you've done a really nice job there, looks like a very welcoming place to sit and enjoy a spring or summer evening :)
Thank you :)

I am very happy with how it’s looking so far, the slope can be a challenge but I hope that over time it will make the space more interesting than if it was flat

Do you have any plans to put plants in like a rockery in between the stones on the right?
That would help with preventing soil being washed away due to rainfall (and I think due to climate change we might well have more rain in our future)
I can't give any advice however, I only grow plants in pots on my kitchen windowsill

Building up the retaining wall by a few inches is what I was thinking. Aiming to do it in a few months time
